There seems to be a partial disconnect between distance education centres and their parent universities. The perceived partial disconnect is really affecting distance education students in terms of their academic and social life. However, this insightful paper explores the factors that account for the partial severance and the perceptions of distance education students regarding their sense of connection with their parent university.
