I've launched 20+ successful online businesses, but establishing my first e-commerce venture was the most challenging. When I initiated my first e-commerce business, I had: 1. No clear business plan. 2. Limited knowledge of the digital market. 3. A minimum budget. 4. Uncertainty of the results. And that was the best part. The thrill of stepping into the unknown, armed with nothing but a dream, was exciting. It gave me the adrenaline rush I needed to push beyond the limits, to learn, experiment and adapt. But one thing I had was my love and passion for entrepreneurial ventures. Here's what I did: 1. Researched the market thoroughly. 2. Drafted a comprehensive business plan. 3. Allocated funds strategically. 4. Embraced failures as stepping stones. 5. Persistently tweaked and perfected my strategies. One thing I have understood is: 1. Preparation is key to success. 2. My First Steps in E-commerce: Lessons from a Teen Venture 🚀 Reflecting on my early days in e-commerce, I’m reminded of the determination and resilience that shaped my first entrepreneurial journey. Five years ago, fresh out of school, I started selling T-shirts and tracksuits on Amazon. With my father’s manufacturing unit providing the supply, I handled everything from product photography 📸 and listing creation to inventory tracking 📦 and shipping—grateful to have had my mother’s support through it all. The learning curve was steep, but by the second month, we were seeing profits, with Dhanteras being a particularly high-sales period. Although COVID-19 eventually brought things to a close, the experience taught me the fundamentals of e-commerce and the power of perseverance at just 17.
