Art is love. Love is life. Life is art. Art, love, and life are inseparable. Together, they form a cycle: • Art expresses love. • Love enriches life. • Life inspires art.

Stop-Motion: A Timeless Art in a Changing Industry 🎞️ Stop-motion animation is more than a technique—it’s a legacy. Rooted in craftsmanship and physical reality, it has brought countless beloved stories to life. But as CG workflows dominate the film and TV industries, stop-motion faces challenges. Integrating these two mediums has often meant stop-motion adapting to CG workflows, fragmenting its process and losing its distinctiveness. The result? Stop-motion has become a niche, thriving in its purity but struggling to find its place in larger productions. Much like Carl rushing in with a fire extinguisher to save Fabian’s hat from the flames, stop-motion needs a bold intervention to reclaim its place in modern filmmaking. To evolve without losing its soul, we must embrace new workflows that celebrate stop-motion’s tangible charm while integrating the flexibility of CG. What do you think is the future of stop-motion in a CG-dominated world? #StopMotion #CGAnimation #AnimationHistory #HandcraftedArt #FilmIndustry #InTheKnow #ShadowMachine

The story is the most important component by far. I agree that the majority of the audience cares about this fact alone, that the story is told in animation, may be less important. I believe the industry knows this too. The facts show that searches for stop motion schools have been steadily rising from the time of Paranorman with a sharp increase after Pinocchio. The young creators of today want their parents to provide access to learn stop motion.

I honestly think most audience does not care wether a film is stop motion, CG or live action. Often, the people making these films forget that the story is everything and at the end of the day stop mo is not a genre but a technique. The biggest studio in stop mo has spent a lot of marketing power on telling people all about how their movies are made. Nobody cares, they just want to see a good story.
