The last click gets all the glory, but is it the true hero of conversion? Let's reconsider. Last-touch attribution isn't the villain—it's just not the whole story. Grateful for Tomáš Putnoky's deep dive into marketing's survivorship bias, reminding us that while the last touch is a key player, it's not the sole contributor to victory. 🛩️ Reflecting on WWII lessons from Abraham Wald, we learn that not all hits are visible. In marketing, not all influential touchpoints are as apparent as the last click. 📊 Last-touch has its merits, pinpointing the conversion's tipping point, but it doesn't map the entire battlefield. It tells us what works at the bottom of the funnel but misses the strategic plays that led there. So, is last-touch useful? Absolutely. Is it enough? Far from it. 🔗 We must recognize every engagement's role, much like Wald's holistic view of airplane vulnerabilities.
