At the start of MovementX—circa 2018 in the photo below—we took a large amount of time to figure out our values. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. After developing a huge list of options, the ‘core team’ grouped them by category (some categories are pictured above) and then began the hard part of narrowing down to a tight set of meaningful core values. We ended with the list of four core values that you see today: 🫂 Empathy ❤️🔥 Passion x Purpose 🌐 Community ⭐ Kaizen Our successes are testaments of putting our values first. And in times of challenge the values are guiding lights to how we should make tough decisions. If our vision is our why and our mission is what, then our values are how: how we want to act as we pursue our mission and vision. They give rise to our social expectations, operations, and much more. The bottom line: Since 2018, our values have guided the company’s actions and they will continue to remain at the forefront of all company activities.
