One bridge connects three places and accelerates integrated development (Big Data Observation) The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has greatly enhanced the integration of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area since its opening six years ago. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasizes that major infrastructure projects should be high quality and promote regional development. The bridge has facilitated over 62.3 million passengers and 12.76 million vehicles, with cross-border imports and exports valued at 942.7 billion yuan as of September. Notably, the bridge's Zhuhai highway port has streamlined customs processing, enabling quick clearance for trucks transporting goods, including electronics, to Hong Kong. The creation of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Cross-border Trade Global Central Warehouse and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Logistics Park has further boosted logistics and e-commerce, establishing a new economic corridor that enhances interactions and infrastructure between Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macao. To improve traffic flow, local vehicles from Hong Kong and Macao can now enter mainland China, resulting in a significant rise in traffic, with 4.35 million vehicles inspected in 2023—an 82.8% increase from the previous year. The bridge's strategic position has fostered a "one-hour living circle," making travel more convenient for residents across the three regions. Customs facilitation measures, such as "two-step declaration" and electronic filing, have been adopted to meet the rising logistics demand, improving customs efficiency with technologies like advanced monitoring systems and simplified inspection procedures. Continued innovations aim to enhance trade and tourism, driving regional integration and development. #MotiveAsia #China https://lnkd.in/gWVA29Pc

“It is very obvious that the launch of Jakarta-Bandung high speed train (or known as WHOOSH) has been successfully accelerating mobility and tourism in Indonesia. ” Ben Perkasa Drajat, Ph.D., Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Guangzhou, said in an interview with us. On October 17, the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway, a hallmark of China-Indonesia collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative, officially celebrated its first year of operation. This railway marks the inaugural deployment of China's high-speed rail system in its entirety, encompassing all components and the complete industrial chain, beyond its borders. It stands as the first high-speed railway in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Over the past year, the passenger traffic on the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail has demonstrated a robust growth trajectory, garnering acclaim from various stakeholders. Ben Perkasa Drajat also noted that within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, the two nations have partnered and executed various projects, including the aforementioned Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway. 🌟 Exciting Developments in Malaysia's Economic Landscape! 🌟 We are pleased to share our recent participation in discussions surrounding the 2025 Fiscal Budget and its implications for the technology and industrial sectors. From the perspective of the technology sector, we believe the government is poised to craft new policies aligned with the goals of the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS). This initiative aims to position Malaysia as a global powerhouse in the electrical and electronics industry. As we navigate this transformative journey, our commitment to innovation and collaboration remains strong. We look forward to contributing to Malaysia's growth as a leader in the global semiconductor landscape. In a recent interview discussing the 2025 Budget Wishlist, our CEO Ir. Raymond Gan pointed out that the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain is complex and globalized. Therefore, he urges the government to not only focus on end manufacturers but also support local end-engineering services and contractors that play a vital role in the supply chain. Ir. Raymond Gan stated, “The government should develop and implement protection policies for local businesses to ensure they participate in major supply chains, especially at a time when overseas players are flooding into Malaysia.” "Additionally, Malaysia can benefit from the "China +1" strategy. The government can encourage local enterprises to collaborate with foreign companies through incentives or expedited regulatory approvals, facilitating the transfer of technology to Malaysia and maintaining its advantages in the global supply chain." "Promoting financing and loan channels for the industry is also crucial, as businesses require substantial funds to launch large projects, invest in new technologies, or expand operations. Favourable financing options will help businesses seize growth opportunities." #Malaysia #Budget2025 #NSS #Semiconductor

I shared some thoughts with Voice of America on what to expect from PM #Fico's 4th terms when it comes to #Slovakia's relations with #China. Already, we are observing shifts in the policy compared to the past 3 years, especially when it comes to abandoning outreach towards #Taiwan. Fico's upcoming visit to China will provide further indication how far (my guess is very far) is he willing to go on quest to promote the "sovereign all-azimuth foreign policy." https://lnkd.in/ejQ47_ty

"Now, with the opportune time, geographic advantage, and unity of the people all in place, what remains is communication and exchange. For the business communities of both countries, we are facing an expansive and untapped frontier of cooperation opportunities," said Majid reza Hariri, president of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ICCCI), in an exclusive interview with us. Under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China and Iran have been making steady strides in practical collaboration across a range of sectors. In the first half of 2024, bilateral trade between China and Iran reached US$ 6.91 billion, with China's exports hitting US$ 4.75 billion and imports from Iran totalling US$ 2.16 billion. Hariri highlighted that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) serves as an international public good and a collaboration platform, delivering substantial advantages to its participants and fostering exchanges among people. Iran expresses a strong commitment to collaboratively advancing positive developments in today's world and seeks to engage with all nations based on mutual respect and shared interests. The enduring friendship between Iran and China, which spans millennia, supports a robust and unbreakable economic partnership between the two nations. A former writer for China's business publication Caijing posted a critique of Shanghai on his Weibo blog listing numerous changes in the life of the city as China's economy sank further into the swamp. The post has been removed by censors but RFI captured its key points. All of them are telltale signs that dictator Xi Jinping has sailed China's economy on to the rocks. Office workers take a lunchbox to work instead of going out to lunch with colleagues. Restaurants are empty. Nobody is talking about job hopping any more. Everybody needs to cling to the job they have. It is impossible to sell second-hand homes. There is a surge in calls from banks offering you loans. Shopping centres have closed down. Less and less foreigners are seen. Offices are being let for free, only charging tenants the building management fee. Nowadays you can get a taxi in an instant. Previously you needed to book well in advance. People have stopped talking about taking foreign holidays. Telephone orders for takeout food are processed fast because business has shrunk.
