Fascinating how Google went from a cool tech company which was loved by dorks, geeks, and engineers to a soulless revenue optimization machine with no love for customers. Here I am talking about all the products you pay for from nest, to Google one. And these are the images by Midjourney for this tweet.

🔍💡 "Google is not about blue links," says ex-CEO Eric Schmidt. Intrigued? You should be! We often think of Google as a mere search engine, a vast digital library where blue links guide us to the information we seek. But according to Eric Schmidt, Google's former CEO, there's so much more beneath the surface. Schmidt suggests that Google's true essence lies not in its blue links, but in its revolutionary technology, its power to connect people, and its mission to organize the world's information. It's about innovation, transformation, and pushing boundaries in the digital world. What are your thoughts on this perspective? How has Google transformed your personal or professional life beyond the blue links? Let's ignite a discussion! #Google #DigitalTransformation #Innovation #TechTalk

While it's too early to draw definitive conclusions, there are indications that Google's dominance may be waning and Bing is gaining ground. While Google still holds a significant market share, Bing's trajectory is showing an upward trend.

"Google is going to be viewed as something that’s legacy and old." Will the 2020s be the decade that Google loses its search crown? 🤔 Perplexity just raised at a $520m valuation (not bad for a >2 year old company with 38 employees). Backed by Bezos and Nvidia, they're pretty confident they can beat Google. Should Google be scared? My take: 👶 It's relatively early days for Perplexity, so it's not quite fair to treat their offering as 'finished' 🐣 But it's also relatively early days for Google's own AI search engine 💰 Google has the world's best business model (search ads) to make its search free. Perplexity charges users $20/month for a pro account. Perplexity Pro is going to need to be MUCH better than Google to get users to switch and pay 🔎 Behind Perplexity, there still seems to be a search engine. Whether anyone can build a search engine as good as Google, I'm not sure. We're seeing Google make all sorts of unforced errors at the moment with ranking algorithms. Is the competition getting to them? Who's your money on?

The Information came through for me (someone who trades Alphabet stock and call options) yesterday: https://lnkd.in/gsBKgiSd I thank Jon Victor for directing reader attention to Sundar Pichai's claim Google had achieved an 80% reduction in the ginormous operating costs technology and financial news reporters have been writing about for quite sometime. What is still missing? The specific details as to how Google achieved the reductions would have been priceless. Because … Identifying the specific method Google used to reduce operating costs for GPT models would provide very helpful information for stock and options traders. Other cohorts of readers likely to benefit would be software developers and C Suite personnel for very large organizations. Have you read Victor's story? What are your thoughts about it? #google #aibusiness #operatingcosts #stocktrading #optionstrading
