Today, #WebAssembly is helping developers realize the vision of "Build Once, Run Anywhere" that Java introduced decades ago. In this talk, Randy Reddig and I focused on one language in particular, everyone's favorite language - Go! If you're curious about how Go has embraced WebAssembly to enable building truly portable applications while preserving the practical, pragmatic developer experience that makes Go so beloved, check out our talk **WASI to Go: Write Once, Go Anywhere** on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gfw4V6hp

🚀Rust’s Borrow Checker and Ownership: A Brief Overview🔥 ✅Ownership: In Rust, each value has a single owner. When the owner goes out of scope, the value is automatically deallocated. ✅Borrowing: References to a value can be borrowed without taking ownership. Rust allows either multiple immutable references or one mutable reference at a time. ✅ Borrow Checker: Enforces these rules at compile time, ensuring memory safety and preventing data races. Please watch the video: The last 10 minutes are awesome. 🎥 https://lnkd.in/gVFppUcQ 👍🏽Pros: ▶️ Memory safety without a garbage collector. ▶️ Predictable performance. ▶️ Safe concurrency. 👎🏽Cons: ▶️ Steep learning curve ▶️ Restricts certain coding patterns #RustLang #MemorySafety #SystemsProgramming #Performance #Concurrency #SoftwareDevelopment #ProgrammingLanguages #Coding #TechInnovation #coding #dev #developer #programmer #rust #language #borrowchecker #ownership #concurrency #performant #softwareengineer #dev #optimization #coder #memory

as For nearly 10 years now, Microsoft's VS Code has been the dominant text editor among the developer community. It is compatible with GitHub and Azure, so you can depoly your code easily. a new open-source code editor named Zed was released a few weeks ago , built by Atom Editor team, which is very good competitor to VS Code. Zed is a new open-source code editor built in Rust. It is very fast and has a low memory footprint. It integrates with AI tools like GitHub, Copilot, and OpenAI. It has a built-in terminal and supports real-time collaboration. It is currently only available on Mac OS. it has some limitations, too such as the lack of extensibility and the fact that it is currently only available on Mac OS. #vscode #zed #ai #editor

Excited to share that I have migrated my blog to Github pages using the Jekflix theme from thiagorossener/jekflix-template! It's been a breeze publishing new content and I highly recommend checking it out. Head over to itmusings.com to take a look at some of my old but still relevant blog posts. #githubpages #blogging #webdesign . By the way, this post is written using Linked In AI which is pretty cool :) By the way if you have cached my previous blog in your browser you may get a 404. This is because I had used a 302 redirect before in the old blog. You may want to check this article to remove the 302 from your browser cache. https://lnkd.in/g2-QzUeq

Hi everyone, I’m thrilled to share my latest project with you all: Live-Insights! 🎉 This is a personal endeavor where I’ve developed a powerful tool for real-time dialogue management, including transcription, summarization, and sentiment analysis. What is Live-Insights? Live-Insights is designed to make managing and understanding dialogues easier and more efficient. Using the Flan-T5 model, it offers: Real-Time Dialogue Summarization: Get concise and coherent summaries of conversations as they happen. Sentiment Analysis: Gauge the emotional tone of dialogues to better understand the sentiment behind the words. Offline Capabilities: Operate without needing an internet connection—perfect for sensitive or isolated environments. Flexible Deployment: Compatible with both CPU and GPU setups, so you can use it with a variety of hardware. Key Components: gui.py: A graphical user interface for easy interaction with the model. Training Scripts: Customize and improve the Flan-T5 model with dialogue datasets. Evaluation and Fine-Tuning Tools: Assess and refine the model to achieve the best summarization results. This project has been a fantastic opportunity to dive deep into real-time data processing and NLP. I’m eager to see how it can help others streamline their dialogue management and gain actionable insights. Feel free to check it out on GitHub and let me know what you think! I’d love to hear your feedback and thoughts Github Link: https://lnkd.in/guQTqGf6
GitHub - HELLCASTER145/Live-Insights-A-real-time-transcription-Summarization-and-sentiment-Analysis-Flan-T5-: This repository provides an implementation of dialogue summarization using the Flan-T5 model. It includes scripts and notebooks for training, evaluating, and fine-tuning the Flan-T5 model on dialogue datasets. The goal is to generate concise and coherent summaries of dialogues

Another day, another flood of "facts" on the internet. Who needs truth when you've got random posts, right? Even Einstein said it's better to trust validated sources than whatever pops up on your feed. Speaking of validated sources, here is an example of three great articles: "Defining, Measuring, and Managing #Technical Debt" https://lnkd.in/d2wqMMfx "Developer Productivity for Humans, Part 6: Measuring Flow, Focus, and Friction" https://lnkd.in/dSFW7QmJ "What makes a code change easier to review: an empirical investigation on code change reviewability" https://lnkd.in/dw8ZGDZD #devops

What a beatiful discussion I found on Reddit regarding Devin AI and the overall hype around similar tools: https://lnkd.in/dQXKZGSW You'll find a few very good points on why it's going to be hard to completely replace good software developers with just another LLM/AI tool. Have you already heard of Devin? What's your opinion on it? #ai #llm #artificialintelligence #devin #chatgpt #softwaredevelopment #softwareengineering #programming #automation

Lastest Post :- https://lnkd.in/dGetWHVV 🚀 Why Are C, Go, and Rust Different in Speed? 🚀 Each language brings its own unique approach to performance optimization, and understanding these can reveal why some are faster for specific tasks: 1. C: Known for bare-metal efficiency, C provides close-to-hardware control, meaning minimal overhead and blazing speed. But with great power comes greater complexity – developers must manually handle memory, which can lead to errors but allows C to run with minimal interference. 2. Go: Created by Google, Go is designed for scalable systems and ease of use, but it sacrifices some speed for safety and convenience. With a built-in garbage collector, Go automatically manages memory – but at the cost of added latency during runtime. The trade-off? Faster development with a bit of performance impact. 3. Rust: Rust aims to blend C-level speed with modern safety. It avoids a garbage collector by enforcing memory safety at compile-time, catching potential errors without runtime penalties. Rust’s rigorous checks prevent common bugs while retaining top-notch speed. In short, C prioritizes raw power, Go balances speed with ease, and Rust combines performance with safety. Choosing the right one depends on the project’s needs – speed, safety, or simplicity. #ProgrammingLanguages #TechExplained #LinkedInLearning #SoftwareDevelopment
