While I am a die hard LA Sparks fan 😀, I have upmost appreciation for A’ja Wilson as an amazing person and absolute beast of a basketball player! Two takeaways from this clip is authentic leadership and surround yourself with people who support you being your best. She exemplifies authentic leadership. You are always going to receive A’ja in all of her glory. The wide range of emotions that she exudes on and off the court with her team are refreshingly authentic. She has high expectations for herself and her team as her team tries for their third WNBA title. As leader you know that you can’t do it all alone and there is a moment in which she appreciation for her teammates holding her accountable. The vulnerability as a leader to acknowledge your humanity and state I have bad days too is remarkable insight into psychological safety. As a leader, I have created an environment where I can let you know I am not at my best and I am open to receive feedback when I am not giving my best is a blessing. Accountability to notice you are not at your best and to lend support is whatever leader and team needs. #authenticleadership #yourcirclematters

Achievable goals>>>Conviction>>>Integrity>>>Character Very often, people find it quite formidable to stare at huge monumental goals and they become so overwhelmed by it. It looks so formidable, that attempting to achieve it seems utterly futile, and thus, some give up too early and no longer consider viewing it as a possibility; never mind working and pursuing to achieve it. It is therefore useful that you break this big huge goal into smaller fragments; doable fragments that you can use as your monthly, weekly, and daily objective. This way, your life's goal and purpose do not appear too formidable and unattainable. But the daily fragments of this goal MUST be difficult and challenging enough to test and stretch your present capacity beyond what you are already doing! It is only this way that you begin to really grow. Then, this map and compass become your belief system! Write them down! It is very important that you write them down! Why? Because you need to review and recite it every single day up to the point when you realize that you need to modify or change them. The constant practice and even just a mere repetitive recitation of this goal and belief system will set them up as basis for your Conviction ... and, conviction leads to formation and development of Integrity. excerpt from "Building Character" by RSMD (#ProfessorSam); Like and follow if you agree.
