Is Shiny Object Syndrome Holding Back Your Growth?
In this clip, Andrew Faris, CEO of More Staffing, explains why focusing on the fundamentals is key to scaling your e-commerce business. Instead of jumping on every new trend (like TikTok ads), Andrew emphasizes the importance of doubling down on what works—such as Meta ads, email marketing, and refining your supply chain.
If you're a growing brand, time and energy are limited, so it’s essential to prioritize the biggest growth levers and avoid distractions.
This video is just a sneak peek from our full webinar, co-hosted by Lara Guevara, CEO of More Staffing, and Andrew Faris, where they share actionable strategies for focusing your efforts on smarter, sustainable growth.

Use that reality to your advantage to build a great business. OK, there's a few ways to do this. Number one, focus resist shiny object syndrome at all costs. Like don't go chase down if if, if you're sub $10 million and, or or even around, I mean, even if you're sub $50 million. Like I'm just not very concerned about making TikTok ads work for you. I just don't care. That much instead for your time and effort into meta ads, OK, like do the thing you do really, really well. Like as as much as you possibly can. Get the basics right, drop product well, do a good job with your e-mail and SMS list, run good ads and then hammer away at your supply chain. Those kinds of things and do everything you can to have focus is also an argument for working with somebody like Laura's team on the supply chain thing. The reason you have only talked to between 3 and 15 manufacturers, as people said here is that it takes too much time and energy. And you only have so many things to do are you only have so much and you only have so much, are you? You do have a lot of things to do and you only have so much time and energy. And so it does matter in your business, but you've gotta stay focused on the things that are the biggest levers in the business, OK?
