Next time you hear someone tell you they're a "farmer", don't assume they drive a tractor... Seriously though, if you've been hearing about "AI Agents" and wondering what it's all about, this video is a wonderful real-world example (and probably a 2nd grade science experiment in scale) of what a world of Agentic AI will look like, with autonomous machines, devices, and services operating on their own.
I was offered a "LinkedIn Growth" service this week. Here is how it works... A company will use a click farm to amplify your posts. They have more than 3,000 bot profiles to amplify your posts. They will like, comment and repost. That triggers the algorithm and real people start to engage. They offered me a minimum of 50k impressions per post and an average of 5,000 new followers per week. To make it work, I had to broaden my message so it was more relatable to a wider audience and pay $1497 a month. They shared they do this for some well known names. Do I want 5,000 followers per week? - Yep Do I want 50,000 average impressions? - Yep Do I want to broaden my message? - Nope Would I be 100% terrified of being banned or caught out - Yep Makes you ponder how much of the internet is artificial hype. This is what a click farm looks like. UPDATE: Thanks for all the support on this post. A few of you have said name and shame. I'm not comfortable doing that right now - it isn't a crime at least in the UK and there are legal issues with stuff like this. When I have done things like this in the past I've always hidden identities.
This saddens, worry and depresses me. Morten Rand-Hendriksen I'll take your offer of having a conversation on this when we're back.
Oh wow… that is interesting… not really sure how to respond to that set up -
Well, that's incredibly depressing, but it's important for all of us to see this.
Oh my 😮 and small content creators worry how little engagement they're getting compared to the big accs but if many of those use these.... That throws a completely different light on it
I saw this before, just cannot remember. Might of been a search for "content farm".

5dOr, people could just stop worrying about how many followers and impressions they have.
