It’s always good to meet with like minded friends when I’m home. Learned a lot from Dave’s experience with Homecrowd where he combines mortgages and blockchain technology to help freelancers and entrepreneurs buy their first home! Also to learn from Nuraizah’s mission in helping women micro businesses to get lending and to improve their family finances inspires me to push further for an inclusive and empowering society. Many thanks to Rafidah from 10x1000 Tech for Inclusion for organizing this meet up and to connect with like minded people who are all striving towards Tech for Inclusion!

"A lot of women are lobbyists, but not for their own career" - Hedwige Nuyens This poignant quote from a recent 'Women in Crypto for Boards' event in London is such an important thing to consider. While there are so many talented women in the industry who can do and achieve incredible things, sometimes due to outdated societal norms and disparity in the workplace, it's not always been possible for these people to reach the heights they otherwise should. As the Chair of European Women on Boards, Hedwige has a unique insight into the hiring practices and recruitment methods used to place candidates, and the need for talented women to showcase themselves more effectively so that they aren't overlooked. At our event, she gave great advice on how to ensure that you can be seen and heard, how to get Board ready, and we are excited to have Hedwige back as a speaker at our event in London next week! Crypto is still in its infancy, and has a long way to get yet, but we are at a critical time in which we can ensure that, moving forward, equality and representation at all levels is seen and utilized in the best ways. With our initiatives and events, we are ensuring that women are heard, and are given the tools and opportunities to reach Board level, and make those much needed differences. Consider joining us at one of our future events, and we would always be happy to hear your suggestions too, so please do get in touch if you'd like more information. #WomenInCrypto #DiversityAndInclusion #WomenInLeadership #CryptoCommunity #WomenOnBoards #CryptoCurrency #BoardDiversity

Happy International Women's Day to all the incredible women around the world! Today, we honour your resilience, achievements, and the diverse perspectives you bring to every field, including the exciting realm of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. While our industry has been predominantly male-dominated, we're witnessing a promising shift towards greater gender diversity. More and more women are stepping into the crypto space, bringing fresh insights and driving innovation. Leaders like Laura Shin a writer, crypto journalist, and host of the Unchained Crypto podcast, Cathie Wood, the founder and CEO of Ark Invest, Kathleen Breitman – the CEO of Dynamic Ledger Solutions, Elizabeth Stark, the co-founder and CEO of Lightning Labs, are reshaping perceptions and illustrating the profound impact women can have in crypto. On the regulatory front, we have pro-crypto Senator Cynthia Lummis and crypto-friendly SEC commissioner Hester Pierce leading the way. These are just a few examples of women who are pioneering change and inspiring others to explore the potential of blockchain technology. At CryptoProcessing, we are immensely proud of our talented female team members. Alesya Sypalo, our PR & Communications Lead; Mariia Akulenko, ex Head of Legal and Compliance; and Susanna Bondarenko, our Lead Content Manager, were recognized in the 2023 Rising Women in Crypto Longlist by Wirex. But today, our message extends beyond the boundaries of our industry. We celebrate every woman — your strength, intelligence, and creativity enrich all areas of life, from technology to art, science, education, and beyond. Your potential is limitless! Let's continue to uplift and support one another, breaking barriers and challenging stereotypes. Together, we can create a world where every woman's contributions are recognized and celebrated, not just today, but every day. Here's to the women who dream big, lead with courage, and pave the way for others. Your brilliance and determination are changing the world. Cheers to you, today and every day! 🥂 #InternationalWomensDay #Empowerment #InnovationForAll

Since its inception, the #cryptoindustry has been a beacon of innovation, challenging the status quo of traditional finance with its decentralized architecture and promise of financial inclusion. However, beneath the surface lies a glaring gender disparity that permeates through leadership roles, funding distributions, and the very fabric of founding teams. According to a study conducted in April 2023, only a mere three out of the top 50 CEOs in the crypto industry are #women. This statistic not only highlights a systemic issue but also underscores the urgent need for change within our ecosystem. Yet, amidst this disparity, there are glimmers of hope, shining brightly through the initiatives led by women. Female creators in the Non-fungible Token (NFT) space have been pivotal in promoting gender inclusivity, with projects like World of Women (WoW), Alpha Girl Club, and Women Tribe making significant strides in the industry. Moreover, initiatives such as Women in Blockchain Talks by Lavina Osborne and organizations like Cryptochicks are providing crucial mentorship and education to foster inclusiveness within our community. But Let's not stop there. It's time to shine a spotlight on the visionary women who are driving substantial changes within the industry. Cathie Wood, Elizabeth Stark, and Gracy Chen are just a few examples of leaders who are not only breaking through barriers but also advocating for a more inclusive and diverse crypto landscape. When it comes to literature, the narrative has long been dominated by male voices. However, it's high time we acknowledge the invaluable contributions made by women authors in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. Works like Camila Russo's "The Infinite Machine," Laura Shin's "The Cryptopians," and Rachel Wolfson's "Bitcoin: Down the Rabbit Hole" offer profound insights that enrich our understanding of this rapidly evolving industry. And let's not overlook the remarkable rise of female crypto investors, particularly in regions like India, where approximately 63 million women are actively participating in the market. This surge in female ownership underscores the growing interest and influence of women in shaping the future of finance. As we celebrate International Women's Day, let's recommit ourselves to amplifying the voices of women in crypto. Together, we can foster a more equitable and inclusive ecosystem that thrives on diversity of thought and perspective. Happy Women's Day! 🚀 #WomenInCrypto #CryptoEquality #investinwomen

Thank you to all of you wonderful people who attended our Women in Crypto for Boards event on Wednesday! The contributions and passion in the room were fantastic; this really helps us with our mission of addressing the disparity of women on boards in crypto. Special thanks to our panel, to Hedwige Nuyens, Jeanette Seng, Hemilly Rodrigues, Elizabeth Rossiello and Oliver Tonkin. There were some super useful, bite-size takeaways for those wishing to raise their profiles, such as developing their personal brands on linked in, and there was solid, further ammunition provided in terms of how listed firms have balanced gender to their commercial advantage. The digital asset industry is clearly behind almost every other sector in so many ways, not only in terms of diversity, but hope springs from the fact that it is still so relatively new and fast-moving. Here is to the realistic hope that its shift into the mainstream will necessitate firms which are better regulated with improved governance and diversity, which will inevitably bring about a happier and more successful industry. Isabell Moessler, Lorna Hutchman, Sam Shrager, Christina Frankopan, Katie Fry-Paul, Vasanthi Smedley, Kerstin S., Laura Clatworthy, Marina Baudéan, Adele Scott, Kelly Pettersen, Ran W., Jennifer Roebuck, Sophie Bowler, Martyna Lewinska, Tara Mac Aulay, Claire Conby, Amala Bastian, Jannah Patchay, Jeanette Seng, Genevieve Leveille, Elizabeth Rossiello, Anastasia Ulianova, Frances Edwards, Sophia Furber, Hemilly Rodrigues, Erica Stanford, Sendi Young, Caroline Malcolm, Manjinder Cacacie, Andrea Trost, Naomi Rohilla, Gabriella Colmanetti, Benedict Maund, Danica Yang We look forward to seeing you again at the next event on July 24th. Please also contact Tim Connolly or Michal Maslakow if you missed it and you'd like to join this cause. #crypto #digitalassets #deiba #genderequality #blockchain #womenintech #womenonboards
