Or do you prefer to keep a strict professional line that isn’t crossed? Workplace friendships are about more than just socialising on the clock — apparently the latest data suggests they can help professionals increase job satisfaction and avoid burnout. Being more creative and engaged are also products of workplace friendships. Just over half of U.S. employees have made at least one close friend at work, according to the latest findings of the LinkedIn Workforce Confidence survey, but some industries are more likely than others to see workplace friendships thrive. And, the industry that's most likely to have close friendships? Utilities workers. I'd love to know if you have people you genuinely consider friends at work and how it makes a difference to you.
