Chapter Two of "The Moderates' Manifesto" outlines the platform of The American Moderate Party (AMP), focusing on governance, economic policy, taxation, ethical government spending, national problem-solving, voting rights, equality, religious neutrality, political transparency, gender equality, direct election of national leaders, voter rights protection, gun regulation, regulatory clarity, corporate personhood, education, healthcare, and campaign finance reform. Each point of the 18 Point platform emphasizes a balanced approach between government intervention and individual freedoms, aiming to address current societal and political issues with pragmatism and fairness. #ModeratesManifesto #BalanceTheExtremes #AMP

Today, as we mark International Human Rights Day, we also conclude the #16DaysOfActivism against Gender-Based Violence. From the start of the campaign, on 25 November, we have shared inspiring calls to action and content from changemakers—including parliamentarians, WFD staff, and equality champions—dedicated to ending gender-based violence. Their messages remind us of the collective responsibility to stand against GBV and advocate for equality. Ending GBV is not just a moral imperative—it is vital for building stronger, more inclusive democracies. When women and girls are free from violence, societies thrive, equality is realised, and democracy flourishes. Together, we can ensure that violence against women and girls becomes a dark chapter of the past. #HumanRightsDay #EndGBV #DemocracyCan #OurRightsOurFuture

Waiting for my perspective on more Affirmative Action Bills so you jump to the hasty conclusion of labelling me Human Right unfriendly right? To carry out wisdom : 1. Human Rights are LEGAL and LOGICAL Rights that need acceptance by all and non-negotiable. Eg. Right to life, Democracy, SDG goals, you do the thinking for the rest. 2. Equality Rights are ETHICAL rights that will consistently shift balance base on political authorities in power or cultural values of a society. Gender Rights, Reproductive Rights, Digital Rights and some Affirmative action bills (NB: misdemeanors are pushed through this and best, the highest level of sensitivity or thinking is exercised in these). Summarily, Human Right must be Human Rights and Equality Rights need be treated Ethical Rights or Laws. Mixing both? Breeds contempt ! Tell me more, what are you pushing for today? #World #Africa #HumanRight #EqualityRight #HumaneNonNegotiableRight #Ethical or #OpportunityRight

✍ Check out our latest article on gender and transitional justice, just published in the International Journal of TJ.
In our latest article using our new TJET data on gender and transitional justice, Helen Clapp, Daniel Marín-López, Avery Schmidt and I explore historical trends in attention to gender in transitional justice policies. We find an increase in gender-attentive trials, truth commissions, and reparations policies since the 1990s. We argue that the early efforts of feminist activists in the Global North and Global South drove this increasing attention to gender. Inequality comes in many forms and human rights defenders are combatting its different manifestations all over the world. In #Kenya, human rights defenders at the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (NGLHRC) are fighting inequalities based on sexual orientation, including through the courts. . On 17 October, I'll present my latest report on Human Rights Defenders & the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the UN General Assembly. Until then, I am sharing stories of human rights defenders around the world who work tirelessly to advance the #SDGs in their communities & ensure that no one is left behind. #HRDsAndSDGs #UNGA79
