🌟 Embracing Self-Discovery: A Journey to Authenticity 🌟 Social media is a landscape like no other, our journey to authenticity begins with self-discovery. It's not merely a destination but a profound exploration of our inner selves, a path illuminated by vulnerability and self-reflection. As we navigate this journey, we encounter challenges that test our resolve—fears to conquer, insecurities to confront, and limitations to overcome. Yet, it is precisely through these challenges that we uncover our true essence, unlocking the doors to our potential with courage and resilience. 🌱 Empowerment Through Authentic Expression 🌱 Authenticity empowers us to reclaim our voices, allowing us to stand boldly in our truth and share our authentic stories. By embracing our uniqueness, we inspire others to do the same, fostering a culture of empowerment and genuine connection. Our willingness to be vulnerable creates a ripple effect, encouraging others to break free from societal norms and embrace their authenticity. In this way, authenticity becomes a catalyst for positive change, empowering individuals to live authentically and unapologetically. 🌈 Inspiring Others Through Authenticity 🌈 Our authenticity has the power to inspire and uplift others, serving as a beacon of hope amidst the noise of superficiality. When we show up authentically on social media, we create a space for genuine connection and meaningful dialogue, where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. By sharing our stories—both the triumphs and the struggles—we inspire others to embrace their authenticity and live with integrity and purpose. Our authenticity becomes a source of inspiration, igniting courage and resilience in those who follow our journey. 🌟 Cultivating Fulfillment in Online Endeavors 🌟 Authenticity is the key to cultivating fulfillment online. When we show up authentically, we attract like-minded individuals who resonate with our message and values. These genuine connections enrich our lives, providing support and camaraderie on our journey. By prioritising authenticity over popularity or perfection, we create a meaningful and fulfilling online presence that brings joy to both ourselves and our audience. ✨ Reaffirming Our Commitment to Authenticity ✨ Let us reaffirm our commitment to showing up authentically on our platforms. Though it may not always be easy, authenticity is the gateway to deeper connection, fulfillment, and purpose. So let us continue to embrace our authenticity, to share our stories boldly, and to inspire others to do the same. Together, we can create a digital world where authenticity reigns supreme, empowering each individual to show up as their true selves, unapologetically and authentically. #authenticlife #smallbusiness #mindset #follow #socialmedia

“On Coffee, Creativity, and the Strange Divide Between Us” Let me tell you a story about being the 6’1, 230-pound Black guy often trying to sell coffee to marketing teams who are mostly young white women in large companies. It’s like walking into a rom-com—you know you’re not the target audience, but somehow, you’ve got the starring role. Here’s the thing: ever since the Caramel Macchiato and Pumpkin Spice Latte became cultural icons, white women aged 20 to 40 have become my biggest customers. And I love them for it. They’re the ones who will walk into a meeting and pitch the bold idea: “You know what would make this event amazing? Vagrant Coffee.” And they’re not wrong. But here’s where it gets interesting—and by “interesting,” I mean frustrating. They pitch these ideas to their bosses, only to hear, “Eh, maybe next time.” Or worse, “Let’s just stick to Starbucks.” (Yes, Susan, because that will really blow people’s minds.) That’s when I realized: I’m not just in the coffee business. I’m in the confidence business. These women want to work with me. They see the vision. They know that rolling in with a Vagrant Coffee mobile bar or hosting a team-building event with a curated espresso menu is a game-changer. But they’re stuck in this corporate tug-of-war, trying to convince someone else to take a chance. So here’s my pitch—not to your boss, but to you: You’ve got this. You know your market. You know your company’s image. And you know that standing out isn’t about following the crowd; it’s about leading it. And if you need backup? Call me. I’m not scared. If I can survive Iraq, I can survive your boss. But even better, I’ll arm you with the stats, the stories, and the ridiculously good coffee to make your case. Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about caffeine. It’s about showing your boss—and your team—what happens when you stop playing it safe. So, next time you’re in that meeting and the boss gives you that look when you suggest something bold? Remember this: They’ll thank you when their clients can’t stop talking about the coffee. You bring the vision. I’ll bring the espresso. Deal?

🌟 The Double Standard of Compassion: A Tale of Two Lobbies 🌟 ⭐ In a world where perceptions are often coloured by status and branding, the notion of compassion seems to fluctuate depending on the setting. ⭐ A recent incident involving a street dog highlighted this glaring double standard, shedding light on society's skewed values and attitudes. Picture this: a street dog wanders into the lobby of a renowned, high-end brand. The scene unfolds with applause, admiration, and accolades for the display of compassion towards the furry visitor. Employees and patrons alike marvel at the heart warming sight, praising the brand for its kindness and empathy towards the less fortunate. Now, rewind and imagine the same scenario, but in a different setting – a humble, unbranded property. The street dog innocently steps foot into the lobby, greeted not by smiles and gestures of compassion, but by gasps of disgust, murmurs of intolerance, and swift attempts to shoo it away. The atmosphere is thick with disdain, as the presence of the dog is met with scorn rather than acceptance. Why the stark contrast in reactions? Why does the same act evoke such different emotions based solely on the backdrop of wealth and prestige? The answer lies in society's ingrained biases and perceptions, where wealth and status often dictate the narrative of what is deemed acceptable and praiseworthy. In the realm of branded luxury, acts of kindness are magnified and celebrated, serving as a testament to the benevolence of the elite. A simple gesture towards a street dog becomes a symbol of compassion, earning admiration and applause from onlookers who perceive it as a reflection of the brand's values. Conversely, in the realm of the unbranded and humble, compassion is often overlooked or dismissed, overshadowed by preconceived notions of filth and unworthiness. A street dog's presence is seen as a nuisance, a disruption to the sanctity of the space, rather than an opportunity for empathy and understanding. But should compassion be reserved only for the privileged few? Should the worth of a gesture be measured by the logo on the door or the balance in one's bank account? The answer is a resounding no. True compassion knows no boundaries of wealth or status. It transcends labels and embraces the inherent worth of all living beings, regardless of their place in society. Whether in the lobby of a luxury brand or a modest establishment, acts of kindness should be celebrated and encouraged, not judged based on superficial criteria. It's time to challenge the double standard of compassion and strive for a world where empathy knows no bounds. Let us not be swayed by the glitter of branding, but instead, let our hearts be guided by the universal language of compassion – a language that speaks loudest in the humblest of settings and shines brightest in the darkest of times.

"FEAR: Hold it's Hand. " - Kate Arends Always inspiring chat at last night's Capsule Think & Link event. Conversation with Kate Arends of Wit & Delight and Martha Krueger of Giften Market. As I navigate what's next in my career, reflect on what I've built at Kisa Boutique and what the brand & I will evolve to. Here are some takeaways from this wonderfully honest conversation! Would love to have people chime in! -What does freedom look like? -Being human is messy. Stop trying to make it perfect. -Brand: Infusing yourself vs. creating a glossy high growth brand separate from self. -Listen within us. Make space to listen. -Embrace the fear: people are tough and it can be fun to be scared & you are going to survive it! -When things change in your life & brand: grief & acceptance are part of it. -Keep some things as a hobby. Thanks to the hosts: Kitty Hart & Aaron Keller Great to see you: Keona Prokop , Kat Dalager (She/Her) , Diana Osberg

It was a small coffee shop in a bustling neighborhood. I remember the day I first met Sarah—an entrepreneur with a heart as big as her dreams. She had just launched her brand, but despite the stellar product, something wasn’t clicking. Sales were flat, and people weren’t connecting with her the way she’d hoped. Over a cup of coffee, she told me her frustration. “I don’t get it. I have a great product, but it feels like I’m just one of a thousand faceless brands out there.” And then, she said something that changed everything: “I’ve been holding back. I’m afraid people won’t trust me if they know too much.” I paused. Because here’s the truth I wanted to share with her: Trust isn’t built by hiding; it’s built by sharing the full story. Transparency is a powerful tool. Not just for your audience, but for your brand’s soul. People don’t just want to buy from you—they want to believe in you. They want to know you’re real, that you’re human, that you’ve been through the same ups and downs they have. And that’s exactly what Sarah started doing. She began sharing the behind-the-scenes—the struggles, the failures, the lessons learned. Slowly but surely, people started paying attention. They didn’t just see a product; they saw a journey, a person who was learning and growing in front of them. That’s when everything changed. Her audience wasn’t just buying her product anymore—they were buying into her story. Transparency makes you more than a brand. It makes you human. It creates connections that go beyond transactions. People trust you more when they see you as someone they can relate to—not a perfect image, but a real person, with highs, lows, and everything in between. So, if you’re wondering why your brand isn’t resonating, ask yourself: Are you hiding parts of your story? Are you afraid to show the messy, imperfect, human side of what you do? Because the truth is, that’s exactly what your audience is craving. Trust isn’t built by perfection; it’s built by authenticity. And that, my friend, is how you build lasting relationships that go beyond the sale. #authenticity #branding #personalbrand #trust #transparency #entrepreneur

Finding your purpose, both professionally and personally, can be challenging. It requires asking yourself tough questions like, "What do I really want from life?" and "Am I prepared to put in the hard work to get there?" Here are my top three tips to help you find YOUR purpose: 1. Your purpose should align with your passions. For me, it's all about creating memorable moments. I can't describe how wonderful it feels when a mum tags LM Bambini on Instagram, sharing that she's bought her daughter a Tutu Du Monde dress for a milestone birthday, or hearing someone rave about my themed cocktails at an event (I also co-founded a mobile cocktail bar called Shake, Stir, Sip). 2. Understand the reason behind your business. My 'why' is to bring happiness and connection through special occasions. Knowing your 'why' gives your work meaning and direction. 3. Make choices that reflect your values. This year, I'm committed to doing my part for the planet by stocking more eco-friendly brands and finding ways to reduce my carbon footprint. Finding your purpose isn't just a part of your business—it's what makes you get out of bed in the morning. #LivingWithPurpose #FemaleFounder #BusinessOwner #FounderLife

Is there a disempowering narrative, you have about yourself? Turns out my client had one too. When she first approached me (let's call her 'L' ), she was lacking in confidence, whilst constantly comparing herself to others. It can feel disheartening when it seems like others, who may not appear to have as much talent, are getting further ahead. These thought patterns alone made 'L' feel drained and not good enough. Even after a good few years of designing and selling some stuff 'L' was starting to feel like she's just not 'cut out' to be a part of the (sustainable) fashion industry. In our time working together 'L' distinguished the negative narratives she had of herself and her life. With my support and guidance through coaching, she got to recreate what this could look like for her life, moving forward. She continues to be empowered to take actions and has so far gained: ✔️ having more control over business decisions. ✔️ feeling confident; leading with values (instead of fear). ✔️ higher self awareness of limiting beliefs and learning how to transform them. ✔️ becoming more comfortable saying no to work, that doesn't align with her goals. Which has transformed the relationship with her business, making her work manageable and exciting again 💥. #sustainablefashion #fashiondesigner #fashionentrepreneur

🌿 Exciting News! My New Blog is Here: Beyond the Mold 🌿 I’m thrilled to finally share something I’ve been working on—a brand-new blog called “Beyond the Mold: The Nature of Authenticity”! 🎉 This blog is all about ditching societal expectations, embracing who we really are, and finding success in our own unique way. It’s inspired by the lessons we can learn from nature—where there are no dress codes, no one-size-fits-all rules, and no pressure to fit into a mold that doesn’t suit us. 🌸 Now, don’t worry—I’m not saying we should roll into meetings wearing pajamas (although… tempting, right?). What I am saying is that we should feel comfortable and confident in who we are and how we show up, whether it’s in hiking boots or high heels. 🥾👠 If you’re ready to explore what it means to live authentically, break free from the expectations holding you back, and have a few laughs along the way, join me on this journey! My first post is live, and I’d love for you to check it out, share your thoughts, and maybe even tell me about a time you broke the mold. 👉 Click here to read the blog: https://lnkd.in/gjcitTYP Thank you for all the love and support—this is just the beginning! Let’s step off the beaten path and embrace what it really means to be true to ourselves. Much love from Beyond the Mold, ~kk ❤️ #BeyondTheMold #AuthenticLiving #NatureInspired #BreakTheMold #NewBlog
