Two minutes in a wheelchair navigating my office space was an eye opener for me. I had never realised how challenging it could be until I experienced it firsthand during the Experience Centre initiative at our KPMG India office yesterday. Now, imagine living with those challenges every single day. What people with disabilities need isn’t sympathy, they need empathy and inclusion to participate fully in all aspects of life. It’s about more than listening. It's about actively understanding, respecting, and addressing the barriers that limit participation. At the Experience Centre, my colleagues and I explored both visible and invisible disabilities, gaining insights into how individuals navigate social structures, cope, and thrive despite challenges. A big thank you to Sangeeta Rajendran and team, and Team V-shesh for facilitating this powerful and insightful experiential learning campaign. I strongly believe such initiatives should be part of every organisation’s journey towards greater inclusivity. The future is disability-inclusive, and we all have a role to play. ForBetter-Together. Big shout out to you Mohit Sharma for deciding first hand experience of differently abled life. We all have a long way to go to ensure the world is truly accessible for all kinds of people. Every step by HR / Reality Services teams are need of the hour more than just talking / posting articles about D&I. Salutes to you.
It’s important to step into their shoes and experience the challenges. It is also necessary to have diverse team members in the decision making team to curate policies accordingly.

Glad to see companies like KPMG India moving the needle in DEI space. Rajasekharan Pazhaniappan (He,Him,His) and v-shesh - wonderful to see the experience zone covering experiences across multiple disabilities. Super. Super...
t’s so inspiring to see how thoughtfully the company has facilitated such positive changes, from accessible infrastructure to tailored support systems 👏
I remember how much time it took me to empathise with the concept of accessibility myself when I first met #Ekanshtrust CEO Anita Iyer Narayan in a flight decade ago and I asked her what she does! There is so much work needed to be done in our country and it’s heart warming to see leaders like you are able to encourage and do their but in this space
Thoughtful gesture and a wonderful initiative.
