🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 I'm thrilled to announce the publication of our latest research article, "Minimum jointly structural input and output selection," in Automatica. As systems grow, the complexity of monitoring and regulating them increases. Our study delves into the essential task of identifying the minimum number of state variables requiring simultaneous actuation and sensing to maintain system control and observability. This research stands out by challenging the traditional separation principle, proposing a unified approach that sidesteps the typical NP-hard difficulties and offers a polynomial-time solution. For a deeper dive into our findings and methodology, you can access the full article here: [ScienceDirect](https://lnkd.in/dKNu4m3v). I'm grateful for the hard work and dedication of my collaborators Guilherme Ramos and A. Pedro Aguiar. We look forward to continuing our exploration of structural systems theory and its applications in real-world scenarios. Your thoughts and feedback on our research are most welcome! #ResearchPublication #DynamicalSystems #StructuralSystemsTheory #MultiAgentSystems #SystemControl #SystemObservability
Check out my new publication. Joint work with @A. Pedro Aguiar, and Sérgio Pequito.

Excellent idea to use "Noether" as the unit of momentum. At Algoryx we have a special appreciation for the work of Emmy Noether. Our technologies are based on the discrete principle of stationary action. The time discrete version of Noethers theorem explains how symmetries are preserved, physical quantities conserved and why our physics simulations can combine high physical fidelity with speed and stability.
Should we rename an SI unit after Emmy Noether?

Motion planning for autonomous active perception in cluttered environments remains a challenging problem, requiring real-time solutions that both maximize safety and achieve a desired behavior. We target this problem on our new article by proposing new method: ResiVis: a Holistic Underwater Motion Planning Approach for Robust Active Perception under Uncertainties which experimentally validated in industrial scale fish farms.
