Reactive Strength Index (RSI) 💥 Accurately measuring and tracking RSI is hugely important for athletes. It gives us a measure of how fast an athlete can switch between eccentric and concentric movement. It tells us how ready they are for plyometric training, and what level is appropriate. RSI is calculated as Jump Height/ Ground Contact Time. From more then 250 athlete tests, we’ve found that one of the biggest contributing factors to RSI is force at 0 velocity. That means for elite RSI an athlete needs a huge capacity to produce isometric force and stability around the hip, and more importantly, knee, and ankle. For our senior athletes we’re aiming for an RSI above 3 #athleticdevelopment #RSI #dropjump #performancetesting
