As I celebrate Day 87 of my 100-day design challenge, I want to emphasize the importance of networking in advancing your UI/UX design career. 📌Attend design events: Conferences, meetups, and workshops are great opportunities to meet fellow designers, learn about new trends, and potentially connect with recruiters. 📌Reach out to your network: Send personalized emails or messages to your connections, sharing your work, seeking feedback, or asking for advice. 📌Be proactive: Don't wait for opportunities to come to you create your own. Offer to collaborate with other designers, participate in design challenges, or volunteer to work on projects that interest you. Finding a job in UI/UX design can be competitive, but by building a strong network, creating a solid personal brand, and staying up-to-date with industry trends, you can increase your chances of success. Remember to stay focused, persistent, and always be open to learning and growth. Up for a challenge that can elevate your design skills?🌟 I’m starting a UI/UX design collaboration series, where I'm planning to collaborate with amazing fellow designers and will work together on creative challenges. More details will be shared in my next post!✨ Back in 2020, I collaborated with fellow artists on my Instagram art page. That experience made me realize the power of collaboration, which is why I’m bringing the same approach to design challenges.🙌🏻 By collaborating, we gain fresh perspectives, learn new techniques, and grow as designers. After each challenge, we’ll share and review our designs, providing valuable feedback to help each other improve.💯 Collaboration is key to growth in design—let's push boundaries, learn, and create together!✨ Interested in joining the next collaboration? There are two types of companies that can hire you. Most designers aim for that 🔴 5% job because it’s mostly promoted on social media. That gives you the false impression it’s how the industry works because it’s kinda cool, right? Mentors helping you grow, fruit Thursdays, meetings, brainstorms, ideations and multiple designers working together in harmony. Sure - it can be cool but it’s a small percentage. We think it’s how things work because the other 95% don’t share the reality of their work. It’s just not as interesting. And those two companies have different requirements from you as a ux/ui designer. The 5% ones are also much harder to get into. So think about it - maybe you’re purposefully skipping 95% of potential employers ;) What’s your experience with working at small companies? Let me know! #clientwork #realux #malewicz
