On Belden’s Investor Day, it was my privilege to present on the topic of advancing Belden’s transformation from selling products to designing and implementing solutions. As data continues to connect the world in new ways, Belden has what it takes to help customers bridge the gap between what challenges the flow of information and the untapped possibilities of connecting people, information, and ideas. Although our focus from products to solutions has changed, our commitment to innovation has not. Today, Belden is collaborating with partners and customers to find groundbreaking and unique ways to keep everything connected. I was especially pleased to inform our investors that we are successfully executing on this transformation because innovation is always our north star. I also explained how Belden is well-positioned to serve markets that consume data in real-time and are moving from asset management to automation to cognition. Female Founders Night has arrived! Looking forward to an exciting afternoon of panel discussions for new impulses from the start-up community, and particularly the Open Pitch Stage this evening where I am honored to be part of the jury panel at the event, happening at Zeppelin University. This is an amazing example of a high quality student-led initiative, and I am excited to share insights and impressions with my network after the event. Why does this event matter? The fact is that in #Germany we still see only about one in every five start-ups being female led, despite (big news here 😉) women still making up half of the working age population from 20-65. For me this means every impulse to elevate female founders and support their journey is relevant and helpful.
