My #1 tip for Enterprise marketing leaders going to digitalisation? Don't let outdated tools hold your marketing teams back. Here’s why: You won’t attract the best team and talent (Candidates will ask which tools your team uses in early stages and make determination of how much you’re investing in that part of the business). If no one on the team is asking for a tool, the bar is higher for you as a leader. (Shelfware costs businesses billions each year). Read this guide to learn how tools for AI-enabled automation and integrated insights can supercharge your marketing tech stack and boost team productivity.

Marketing and IT don’t have to clash. Winning buy-in isn’t about having more meetings—it’s about speaking each other’s language. Here’s what I mean: Marketers speak in “goals” and “campaign metrics”. IT talks about “technical feasibility” and “system integrations”. This misalignment can lead to: ❌ Delayed projects ❌ Frustrated teams ❌ Missed revenue targets The good news? You can bridge this gap. How? By translating your marketing needs into IT-friendly terms. Instead of pushing for “more engagement” or “boosting purchases,” frame your requests in a way IT immediately understands. For example: 👇 “We need a marketing automation integration for our CRM that can handle segmented email campaigns and track subscriber interactions.” When you speak IT’s language, you give your developers clear, actionable tasks they can begin working on immediately. To gain even stronger buy-in, demonstrate how the project will make their daily work easier. For example, explain that the new CRM won’t just drive marketing success. It’ll also: - Automate report generation - Reduce IT’s workload - Free up both teams to focus on more strategic projects TAKEAWAY: When marketing and IT work together effectively, the whole organization wins. This is why it’s critical for marketers to learn the basics of key technical concepts. Then, you can frame your requests in terms IT can easily act on. Aligned teams = better ROI, lower operational costs, and more tangible business outcomes.

Digital marketers: Let's debunk a popular myth today: Automation is not your "set it up and take a six-month vacation" magic potion. 🚫🍹 ✨ Here’s the reality many don’t talk about: Automation complicates digital marketing management. It reduces the amount of data available for identifying problems and limits the options for intervention once you spot them. 📉 A "set and forget" approach? That's a recipe for disaster. ⚠️ So, why do we keep falling for the automation allure? 🤔 Here's the truth: Automation can amplify your efforts, but it demands constant vigilance and adaptation. It's not about working less; it's about working smarter. 💡 Consider this: - Review regularly: Keep a close eye on your automation tools. Weekly check-ins can help you spot issues before they escalate. 🔍 - Data is your friend: Dive deep into the analytics. Understanding the 'when' and 'where' behind a faltering strategy is key to turning things around. 📊 - Stay hands-on: Automation tools are your assistants, not your replacements. The most successful digital marketers use these tools to enhance, not replace, their expertise. 👨💻👩💻 Remember, embracing automation in digital marketing means committing to an ongoing process of monitoring, analyzing, and tweaking. It's about finding the perfect balance between leveraging technology and maintaining a hands-on approach. ⚖️ Let's shift the narrative around automation. It’s not about doing less work; it’s about doing the right work. 💼 If you've experienced the double-edged sword of automation, share your story below. 🔄 #DigitalMarketing #AutomationMyths #MarketingStrategy 🚀
