Much of this new offshore wind capacity is expected to be in areas of North East England and the Celtic Sea. 🌊 Additional smaller areas of opportunity, that could accommodate smaller scale developments, lie off the coasts of North Wales, North West England, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. The precise approach to development remains under consideration but is expected to include a mix of fixed and floating foundations. This is such welcome news for North East England, both NOF and Energi Coast have worked extremely hard recently through our Deepwater Offshore Wind campaign to promote why this region is so well placed and prepared for more leasing rounds.
