Dropping some seriously good news!🤝 Our teams have collectively raised an impressive £766,000 for charity through payroll giving. Payroll giving allows employees to donate to their chosen charities directly from their salaries before tax. This achievement highlights the power of small, regular donations and the incredible impact they can have. A massive thank you to everyone who has donated! #LifeAtMAB #Charity #Giving #PayrollGiving

Question for my legal friends: 1. There is a CIC that is representing itself as a charity and not a non-profit. It is not registered under the Charity Commission. 2. It is registered with Companies House in 2021 but its last accounts return is as a dormant company even though it is clearly trading and has been for over a year at least now. 3. The only registered statutory director is the 80 y/o mother of the founder who is actively running the company. 4. It takes donations from businesses and encourages followers to subscribe for £2 a month to help the cause. Is there a legal explanation for this or is it a bit suspect?

Philanthrovising technical tip of the day. ✅ Qualified Charitable Distributions are great ways to donate to a nonprofit. ✅ Donor Advised Funds are great ways to donate to a nonprofit. But. ❌ Qualified Charitable Distributions cannot be made to a Donor Advised Fund. If the DAF is held at an organization like a Community Foundation, then you may make the QCD to the Community Foundation for a purpose such as an endowed fund or annual fund. It just cannot go into a DAF. Distributions from an IRA, such as Required Minimum Distributions, may be made to a DAF, as they come out as taxable income. They just cannot be distributed to it as a QCD. It all comes down to the tax treatment of the distribution. Just some nuances to keep in mind when discussing giving options with donors. #fundraising #philanthrovising #charitablegiving

This is a really short post from me. Are you collecting all the Gift Aid for your charity? Gift Aid allows charities to claim an extra 25p for every £1 that is donated. Are you aware of the small donations scheme? All UK taxpayers are eligible for Gift Aid. Setting up a simple record sheet can assist you with your claim. DM if you need any help with this. It is an easy way to raise funds. Gift Aid donations can make a real impact on your services. #Leadership #Charity #Management

You may know that Charitable #giving not only directly supports and strengthens your community by funding vital services and initiatives, but it may also potentially lower your tax burden. However, are you aware that cash is the least #tax-effective charitable gift? By donating securities held for more than one year, you avoid paying capital gains tax and can deduct the fair market value of that security in the year you donate. If you are interested in learning more about maximizing the tax benefits of your charitable giving, please see the link in the comments and/or contact your BLBB Advisor at 215-643-9100. #charitablegiving

Worldwide Day of Giving Today is the Worldwide Day of Giving, and we wanted to highlight a few giving strategies that can make a big impact on your taxes and in your community. ⌛ Donating your time is a great way to get involved, and can help teach your children the importance of giving back. 📊 Donor Advised Funds are a tax-efficient account that are maintained and operated by a section 501(c)(3). 📃 Charitable Trusts offer financial advantages for philanthropically minded individuals with nonessential assets, such as stocks or real estate. ❤️ Allows individuals to donate to charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions. #charitablegiving

Is the marketplace possible in charity? Yes, exactly! Charitable foundations face an important task: raising funds to help their wards. It's not always easy, but that's exactly what our mission is. We know that the foundations have not only dedicated volunteers, but also interesting trustees and friends who are ready to support their initiatives. One of the ways to do this is to participate in our auction. How does it work? 1. Charitable foundations connect to our platform and invite their trustees to act as a hero 2. We post a unique meeting with a famous person on the platform 3. Users of our platform who are interested in such meetings begin to actively participate in the bidding. 4. After 4-5 days, the auction ends, and the one who placed the last bid wins! We will organize a personal meeting, thereby realizing the concept of "Connect for Charity". Thus, we not only raise funds for charity, but also create unique opportunities for communication and interaction. Soon! You can join us in this important mission! #Charity #ConnectForCharity #Auction #SocialInitiatives
