Today, on Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID), we celebrate the power of convening!   Meetings are more than just gatherings; they are catalysts for change, growth, and progress. They bring together ideas and perspectives from diverse corners of the globe, driving education and knowledge exchange. From boardrooms to conference halls, meetings and events foster innovation and drive solutions to complex challenges.   Meetings have always influenced my trajectory, from my earliest days within our Sales Organizations in Spain, UK and the Americas. Now, as the CSMO for Marriott in the Caribbean and Latin America, my goal is to position our properties for exceptional success in the Meetings industry, producing great results and revenue for years to come. But beyond the numbers and economic gains, meetings fuel our growth, acting as perfect platforms for collaboration, where ideas flourish, partnerships form, and meaningful relationships are built.   As we celebrate GMID, let's recognize the profound impact of meetings on our world.
