📢 Great news from our partners Novavax! Novavax has announced that their adjuvanted COVID-19 vaccine (2024-2025 Formula) has received Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA in the United States for the active immunization of individuals aged 12 and older. This new formula will be available at multiple locations through pharmacies and local stores once the vaccine batches are released by the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER). "This authorization allows us to launch our updated COVID-19 vaccine in the U.S. in pre-filled syringes, and we have worked hard to ensure that consumers have access in thousands of locations nationwide," commented John C. Jacobs, President and CEO of Novavax. "Our updated vaccine is designed to target the JN.1 variant, the parent strain of the currently circulating variants, and has demonstrated strong cross-reactivity against JN.1 lineage viruses, including KP.2.3, KP.3, KP.3.1.1, and LB.1."
