🌍💚‼️ ✅️As the impacts of climate change become more severe, local and regional authorities play a critical role in developing and implementing effective adaptation strategies. ‼️To support this important work, the European Climate Adaptation Platform Climate-ADAPT has launched the Regional Adaptation Support Tool (RAST). ✅️RAST is a comprehensive, flexible resource designed to guide local and regional authorities through the key steps of the adaptation policy process: 1. Preparing the ground for adaptation 2. Assessing climate risks and vulnerabilities 3. Identifying adaptation options 4. Assessing and selecting adaptation options 5. Implementing adaptation policies and actions 6. Monitoring, evaluation and learning ✅️ RAST provides practical guidance, data sources, examples, and other resources tailored to local context and policy progress. ✅️The tool is aligned with the EU Mission on Adaptation and draws on expertise from Climate-ADAPT and other leading partners in climate adaptation. It complements the Urban Adaptation Support Tool, which is specifically designed for towns and cities. ✅️Climate adaptation is a complex challenge, but RAST can help simplify the process and ensure your region is prepared to tackle the impacts ahead.
