The "big three" ranking organizations— QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education, and 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀—have evolved far beyond simple lists. They now offer: 📊 Consulting services 💻 Data analysis 🏫 Training programs to universities worldwide This shift raises critical questions: 🤷♀️ Are rankings truly independent when offering paid services to ranked institutions? 📈 How does this business model impact the integrity of the rankings themselves? 🌏 Are universities, especially in the Global South, being exploited by ranking organizations?
