At Philip Morris International, we value diversity and inclusion in everything we do. We know that each of us has something unique and valuable to contribute, and we want to create a space where everyone can be themselves and feel accepted. We recognize that Pride Month is an important occasion for many of our colleagues, friends, and loved ones who identify as LGBTQ+. We celebrate their courage, their resilience, and their authenticity. We also acknowledge that some of them may face difficulties or discrimination in expressing their identities freely. That's why we are committed to supporting them and fostering a culture of respect and empathy. We believe that authenticity is not only about being proud of who you are, but also about listening to and learning from others who may have different perspectives or experiences. For me, that means I LISTEN with Pride above all. At Gaingels, we're passionate about fostering diversity and inclusion, especially in corporate leadership. Did you know that LGBTQ+ individuals represent less than 0.8% of Fortune 500 Boards and 1.2% of NASDAQ seats? Formed in June 2022, our partner, the Association of LGBTQ+ Corporate Directors is leading the charge to amplify LGBTQ+ voices in the boardroom. Their mission? To provide support, services, and networking opportunities for LGBTQ+ existing and aspiring Board Members. 🚀 Join Fabrice C Houdart for an enlightening conversation tomorrow with a webinar, where he'll explore vital questions: Why isn't there greater diversity on boards? What does it take to join one? Why should you consider a corporate board role? And what do corporate directors actually do? 💼 #LGBTQ+ #BoardDiversity #Inclusion https://lnkd.in/dNK8UP_M

We discuss Walmart's decision to scale back diversity initiatives, including removing some LGBTQ+ merchandise and winding down certain programs for minorities. This decision impacts the LGBTQ+ community's visibility and sense of belonging, raising important questions about how inclusion is prioritized and supported in large organizations. When companies reduce their commitment to diversity, it can feel like progress is being lost, reminding us of the ongoing work needed to ensure everyone feels seen and valued. #Walmart #Diversity #LGBTQ #Inclusion #Belonging

Source: Good Housekeeping From the article: "During the month of June, you'll see LGBTQ+ pride gear everywhere. From apparel with witty sayings, to collectible Starbucks tumblers to a variety of Pride flags waving from businesses and homes alike. But what about every other month? In a time when LGBTQ+ rights are under attack nationwide, especially for trans and gender-nonconforming people, showing the community that you care all year is so important." #Pride #LGBTQ #Queer #QueerBusiness #ShopQueer #LGBTQBusiness #ShopLGBTQ #Business #Businesses

Almost two weeks into Pride month! How’s it going? Made any tangible moves for progress yet? Pride Month is just as much a celebration of global LGBTQ+ communities as it is an opportunity to commit to and action ambitious goals for change that extends the 30 days. Businesses should be using this month to be loud, proud and bold in their advocacy by investing resources into advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion. LGBTQ+ employees still face huge barriers to success, progress and safety in the workplace and it’s critical that organisations can both recognise and commit to the work to make workplaces more inclusive. In the face of rising anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment, discrimination and violence rather than scaling back on investment for inclusion, it’s needed now more than ever. At Audeliss and INvolve - The Inclusion People, our dedicated teams work with global organisations to drive LGBTQ+ inclusion in business. Below is a quick checklist that you can use to reflect on the work that perhaps still needs doing within your business, and that INvolve and Audeliss can definitely help you achieve. Get in touch with me, our teams are ready to support you. 💙❤️🧡💚💜💛🤍🩷🩵🤎🖤 #pridemonth #lgbtq #pride

We recognize the importance of bringing our "best selves" to our workplaces. We also believe in the ability of living authentically, and celebrate #NationalComingOutDay. Coming out is a personal journey that requires courage, and it’s essential for all of us—whether you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally—to create a supportive environment. When individuals (whether employees, leaders, vendors, etc.) feel safe to share their stories, it fosters belonging and strengthens team. Focus on celebrating diversity and committing to being allies, by ensuring that everyone can live as themselves as work, where every voice is heard and valued. International Pride Day🌈 Today we celebrate International Pride Day, a date that reminds us of the importance of diversity, inclusion, and equality. On this day, we honor the struggle and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to building a world where all people are free to be who they are, without fear of discrimination. At FIRST LATAM, we firmly believe that diversity makes us stronger and that every voice deserves to be heard. By incorporating a variety of opinions and perspectives, we not only open our minds but also enrich our experiences and learnings. Diversity helps us to live and let live, fostering an environment where respect and understanding are fundamental. We work daily to create an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all our employees, customers, and partners. This is a moment to reflect on how far we have come and how much we still have to do. It is an opportunity to educate ourselves, support our LGBTQ+ friends and colleagues, and continue advocating for human rights and equality. We hope that one day we truly give space to diversity, not just as a marketing idea, but as a reality in which all companies believe and commit to. 💪 Let’s continue working together to build a more inclusive and just future for everyone. 💪 #Pride2024 #LGBTQ #Diversity #Inclusion #Equality #PrideMonth #Pride

QUESTION: This Pride Month (and beyond) … how is your workplace growing - and keeping - its LGBTQ+ talent? I was recently asked this question on a podcast and decided to put some thinking around it. So I identified the Top 5 Strategies every workplace should be doing to create that sense of belonging for LGBTQ+ Employees. Here’s the downloadable guide to asking the RIGHT questions on your organization’s level of inclusivity of your LGBTQ+ employees (and SPOILER ALERT: TopDog Learning Group and “The Gay Leadership Dude®” can help you with many of these!). https://lnkd.in/eaavNQUr #lgbtqa #diversity #inclusion #thegayleadershipdude #leadership

Organizations hold immense power in shaping the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals. I know that for a fact by personal experience. Only when I joined a firm truly committed to I&D from both internal and external perspectives I was able to be myself in the workplace. By implementing inclusive policies, increasing supportive environments, and actively advocating for equality, organizations can (and should) positively impact the lives of LGBTQ+ employees, customers, and communities. I’m very fortunate to work for an organization that supports our community but unfortunately that is not the reality for everyone. We are making great progress but if you are not happy with how your organization handles diversity and inclusion, this EY report might help you start this change. Creating inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ individuals should transcend political affiliations. It’s about fundamental human rights and dignity. Regardless of political beliefs, organizations have a responsibility to ensure equality, respect, and acceptance for all individuals, including those who identify as LGBTQ+. If you need anyone to talk about this, my doors (or inbox) is always open Let's create spaces where everyone feels safe, respected, and celebrated for who they are. #LGBTQ+ #Inclusion #Equality #OrganizationalImpact #EY
