Did you know that 70% of MVPs never make it past the development phase? 🟨 And it's NOT always because of technical issues... After years of collaborating with startups, I’ve discovered the most common and real reasons why most MVPs fail before even reaching users: 👉 Over-engineering from day one. You don't need all the bells and whistles. Your first version should solve ONE problem, well! 1. Building in isolation: Too many founders spend months in development without getting any real user feedback. Your MVP should be a conversation with your market - not a monologue. 2. Perfect over present: Waiting for "just one more feature" before launch is a dangerous game. At this stage; perfection is the enemy of progress. Misaligned tech: Your MVP tech should match your current needs - not your five-year vision. For example, think about Dropbox's MVP Instead of building a complex file-syncing system from the get-go… They launched with a simple video demonstrating how the product would work. The video generated thousands of signups to their waitlist overnight! Why? Because they tested their core assumption (people want simple file syncing) before diving into complex development. This validated their market interest before writing a single line of code! Remember: In football, an MVP is the most valuable player who consistently delivers results ⚽️ In startups, your MVP should do exactly the same - deliver core value consistently, without the fancy footwork. Yeah?

Most first-time tech founders spend between $60k - $100k+ on software development, only to end up with zero product-market fit. It’s a common story: 1. Founder Jon has an idea. 2. Jon meets developer Devin to build his marketplace. 3. Devin charges Jon $60k for the project. 4. Jon raises funds from investors to cover the cost. 5. The project scope expands, and the $60k is gone. 🤯 6. The total dev cost balloons to $80k. Now Jon has no money left for marketing. He spends $5k on ads with zero sales. Are you Jon? The beauty of no-code is that you can build a great MVP version of your idea, test it in the market, and avoid breaking the bank. Here's what it could mean for Jon: 1. Build the idea or hire a no-code developer to do it for $5k–$10k. 2. Market the MVP, integrate payments, and get real customers. 3. Once he has 100+ customers and product-market fit, Jon can approach investors with a proven concept, or he could bootstrap and grow profitably. Platforms like Bubble solve this problem by allowing founders to build and validate their ideas for under $10k. Do you have an idea to launch? Let’s talk about building that MVP to bring your vision to life.

Code vs. No-Code: Which One Wins for Validating Your Idea? 💡 If you’re testing a business idea, picking the right approach can make all the difference. Here’s a quick breakdown: ✨ No-Code: Build an MVP fast (think days, not months). Stay on budget while testing your idea. Launch quickly, gather feedback, and pivot if needed. Perfect for startups and solo founders looking to validate ideas without breaking the bank. 💻 Code: Offers complete control and customization. Comes with higher costs and longer timelines. Ideal for complex projects that need to scale—but not for fast validation. 👉 For speed, cost-efficiency, and quick feedback, no-code is the smarter play for validation. In my free time, I'd love to provide some consultant-style guidance, expertise, and maybe even a POC or 2 for an early stage tech startup - then step back and watch them grow. Maybe continuing to pop in from time to time to provide more guidance. What platforms exist for this kind of thing? Where do people ask for this kind of help when they need it? The problems you have to solve after your first 1000 users from a technology perspective are very different from your first 10k, 100k, 1m, etc. I really nerd out over the scaling and security considerations as those numbers grow and the balancing act, trade-offs, etc. along the way.

Stop chasing the perfect tech, focus on this instead. Obsessing over the 'ideal' tech stack? You're missing the point. 1. Customer needs trump fancy tools 2. Start with basics, scale as you grow 3. Adaptability beats perfection 4. Time spent on tech = time away from customers 5. Your team's skills matter more than tools We wasted months on the 'perfect' stack. Now we prioritize customer solutions. What's holding your startup back? Hint: It's probably not your tech.

𝐓𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬: Do you think building a successful tech product is only about having a great idea? Think again. 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 When we started developing testRigor, it wasn't just about creating a prototype; it was about building a system robust and reliable enough for major companies like Cisco and Netflix to depend on for their critical functionalities. Building a product that's stable, user-friendly, and effective across various complexities of real-world applications involves addressing a myriad of challenges. Here’s a brief look at how we approached them: ➡️ 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: We ensured the system could handle complex architectures, including nested iFrames and shadow DOMs. ➡️ 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫-𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬: Making the tool easy for teams to adopt and integrate into their existing workflows was important, so we made sure to do it. ➡️ 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐭𝐲: We developed flexibility to effectively manage hybrid and mobile applications, prevalent in today's tech landscape. The journey from an idea to a product used by leading global companies is filled with hurdles. It requires a deep understanding of your customers' needs and the technical challenges they face. The key to our progress wasn't just overcoming obstacles but turning them into opportunities for growth and innovation. Take the time to reflect on your development strategies.
