Scaffolding with a mountain view The Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. The working and protective scaffolding built there, not only offered amazing views of the impressive Teton range, but also assured safer high-level access for work needed on the roof of the park's headquarters. Digitally pre-planned Allround Scaffolding was used. A solution with a system. ► The light but also strong Allround components in Lightweight technology ensured fast, material-saving and so economical assembly. ► Matching Allround expansion parts such as system lattice beams for bridging purposes allowed the headquarters to continue its work, including its vehicles for responding to emergencies. ► The scaffolding construction company worked closely with Layher’s applications engineers on the spot. They pre-planned the design in detail and in 3D using LayPLAN CAD, and then used the LayPLAN MATERIALMANAGER to create dependable material lists. The aim was to avoid both unnecessary transport of materials, in view of the long distances, and also delays at the site. ► Layher’s training engineers also worked directly at the site to provide assistance in the form of training. #LayherScaffolding #Ireland #Construction #Scaffolding

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬? For many inexperienced drafters, an engineer’s markups can look like a bunch of lines on a page. This happens because they lack construction knowledge. The result? Engineers waste countless hours reviewing markups. It’s a long and arduous back-and-forth process. Here’s how we can fix it: 1 - Training and Site Visits: Drafters need to see their work in real life. Taking them to structural inspections helps them understand what they are drafting. 2 - Clear Communication: Regular meetings between engineers and drafters can prevent misunderstandings and design flaws. 3 - Studying: Drafties, this is extra work but worth it. The more you know, the better you can catch mistakes and help the team. 👉 Do you have these problems in your office? How do you tackle them in your projects? Share your tips!

🔗 For All Beginners in Rebar Detailing Understanding the construction sequence of the projects you are detailing is crucial! Knowing how rebar is placed, tied, and how it integrates within the overall construction process can significantly enhance the accuracy and quality of your work. ❓ Do you know the construction sequence of the project you are detailing? Rebar detailing isn't just about creating drawings; it's about ensuring structural integrity and seamless coordination on the job site. Watching construction timelapses can be incredibly insightful, especially for those who have never been on a job site. 🎥 Check out this short movie with a fascinating construction timelapse. For detailers who haven't experienced a job site firsthand, videos like these should be obligatory viewing to understand the real-world application of your designs.🏗 #RebarDetailing #ConstructionSequence #StructuralEngineering #ConstructionTimelapse #BeginnerTips

I've been thinking lately about the concept of "Respect for People." Let me illustrate with a story. In my construction days, we had an issue where a bunch of blown-in fiberglass ceiling insulation had to be removed due to a design mistake (and a crazy code inspector). So a guy from our insulation sub came up with an xacto knife taped to a stick & cut slits in the netting holding it up. Insulation dropped to the floor & he bagged it. Took 3 or 4 days. Anyone see the problem? Blown-in fiberglass gets in your lungs and messes with your skin. It's horrible stuff. I'm not sure what should have been different. It was going to be a crappy job no matter what. But, almost 4 years later, I still wish I would have done something for the guy. Maybe emailed the sub PM to get a bigger crew. I think respecting people means not letting the hustle & bustle of a project grind away your empathy. Don't be apathetic to the people that get the work done.

A bustling construction site, where steel beams and girders soar into the sky like the skeleton of a giant puzzle. 🏗️ But building these towering structures isn't just about labor—it's about teamwork. Each piece of steel, heavy and strong, requires a coordinated effort from a skilled team of workers. 🔧👷♂️ From the engineers who design the blueprints to the welders who fuse the metal together, every person plays a crucial role in bringing the vision to life. Picture this: a group of workers hoisting a massive beam into place, sweat glistening on their brows as they communicate through shouts and hand signals. 🚧 Nearby, another team carefully measures and cuts steel rods with precision, ensuring they fit perfectly into the framework. And let's not forget the crane operators, orchestrating the intricate dance of machinery as they lift and place each piece into position. 🏗️ But it's not just about strength and skill—it's about collaboration and trust. Teams must work together seamlessly, like gears in a well-oiled machine, to ensure the structure is sturdy and safe. 👥💪 They rely on each other's expertise and support, knowing that their collective effort will result in something truly remarkable. So next time you see a towering skyscraper or a sprawling bridge, remember the teamwork and dedication that went into building it. Behind every steel structure lies a story of collaboration, perseverance, and the power of working together towards a common goal. 🌟👷♀️ #steelfabrication #constructionequipments #structure #teamwork
