My thoughts on the wardens program: Now that the wardens have been trained, it is crucial for private security firms to recognize this talent pool and establish pathways for their progression into permanent employment. Opportunities could include roles such as security personnel, private guards, and more. By providing these opportunities, this program can become more sustainable, evolving beyond a short-term solution. It can offer unemployed youth an equal chance for meaningful employment, fostering long-term progress within the wardens program. Just sharing my perspective to contribute to this discussion.

The recent subway shooting in New York City is a stark reminder of the urgent need for comprehensive safety measures and community support. While the decision not to file charges against the shooter may align with legal technicalities, it underscores a deeper issue: the safety and well-being of commuters. As a Sikh, incidents like these weigh heavily on my heart. It's distressing to see innocent lives threatened and the fear that permeates public spaces. Our leaders must prioritize initiatives that address the root causes of violence while fostering a culture of empathy and accountability. Ultimately, we must come together as a community to ensure that our public spaces are safe for all.
