In today’s fast-paced and information-rich world, maintaining a positive #publicimage and building #trust are paramount for any brand - including the ones we don't conventionally think of as a "#brand". In an opening keynote at #PRAsia #Singapore 2024, Patrick Nathan, chief communications officer and chief risk officer at the State Courts of Singapore said that #publicinstitutions also face their fair share of challenges, especially when it comes to #disinformation. Disinformation leads to '#truthdecay' or the devaluation of #truth in our societies and this is a fundamental #threat to public institutions around the world today, said Nathan. These issues are often mitigated by fostering strong #relationships based on trust with members of the #public, and with internal and external #stakeholders too. #openingkeynote

Great fun talking to international brands about how to run comms and PR in the UK market as part of the latest Global Spotlight PRCA webinar. Great to chat with Josh Wheeler Richard Stone Chart PR MCIPR and Amelia Stevens MIPA. Some key takeaways: - The UK is more than just London - Multi-culturalism and regional nuances are an opportunity but need to be propertly understood - We're a complex media ecosystem in the UK, despite commercial challenges the media are facing - An integrated approach to comms will help your budget and impact hit harder

USA vs. Southeast Asia – Navigating Cultural Nuances in PR Public relations isn’t one-size-fits-all, especially when crossing borders. Understanding regional differences is key to crafting effective communication strategies. Here’s a glimpse into how #publicrelations practices differ between the #USA and #SoutheastAsia: 📍 Cultural Context Matters In the USA, #PR often emphasizes direct communication and assertiveness, while in Southeast Asia, there is a greater focus on respect, harmony, and maintaining relationships. 📍 Media Landscape The media in the USA is diverse and fragmented, with a heavy emphasis on digital and social platforms. In contrast, Southeast Asia’s media landscape is more varied, with traditional outlets like television and print still holding significant influence in some areas. 📍 #CrisisCommunications In the USA, swift and transparent crisis communication is expected, with brands quickly addressing issues to maintain trust. In Southeast Asia, a more cautious and measured approach is often preferred, taking cultural sensitivities into account. 📍 Building Relationships Relationship-building is crucial everywhere, but it often involves more personal interactions and a long-term perspective in Southeast Asia. Establishing trust and #credibility takes time and is deeply rooted in local customs and practices. Adapting to these nuances is essential for brands looking to expand their presence and build meaningful connections in different regions. By understanding and respecting these differences, PR professionals can craft strategies that resonate authentically across cultures. Are you ready to transform your #marketing results? Let's craft a winning strategy together! Partner with Foundeast today for a 360° shift in your business.

🌟 Main takeaways from the 2024 Public Relations Global Network #PRGN Conference in Hong Kong! 🌟 How can I share all the great highlights from this conference held last week in the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Thanks to Joanne Chan and her team we discovered the fascinating sides of HK and better understand the complexity of this region. Thanks to the contribution of all, we discussed about business strategies, innovations drivers, key trends among agencies from all over the world. We adressed the challenges and opportunities in the PR & PA industry, with the eyes of experts. Michael Diegelmann from cometis (Germany) presented an insightful session on tackling corporate greenwashing and the crucial role of transparent communications in building genuine sustainability efforts. We had a lively discussion on the EU #AI act exploring its implications for PR agencies and the future of AI in our industry. We openly challenge the ties among the EU & Asian countries, calling for more mutual understanding over boundaries. Navigating APAC’s Media Landscape, we explored the diverse and dynamic media and social media environment in the APAC region, highlighting strategies for effective engagement and communication. We discussed about crisis and issue management with a deep dive into contemporary crisis management techniques, emphasizing agility and adaptability in our rapidly changing world. Thanks to the work achieved by our past president Andy See, with our strategic plan for the future, PRGN is the proud 5th largest network of independent communication agencies covering 44 countries. This amazing work could not have been achieved without the support of our executive director Gabor Jelinek. I will pursue this strategic dynamic move as the new president. The conference has been a fantastic platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and setting the stage for the future of PR and PA. I am energized and ready to implement these insights ! #PRGN2024 #PublicRelations #PublicAffairs
