🚀 Exciting news from the 2024 EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard! EU-based companies showed a remarkable growth in research and innovation investments, outpacing both US and Chinese counterparts for the first time in a decade! The Scoreboard provides annually, since 2004, a comprehensive look at global corporate R&D trends based on the analysis of the world’s top 2,000 R&D investors and EU-based top 800. Despite a year of challenges, our research shows a robust increase in global R&D investment, hitting an impressive EUR 1257.7 billion in 2023. This marks an increase of EUR 90.6 billion (+7.8%) compared to the previous year. This year, the team included an analysis of SMEs in the EU-800 sample, reflecting their critical role in the innovation ecosystem.
