What does being an ICF Certified Coach mean? A lot to me. And it should to you as well if you are in the market for a Coach.

Wow : Quarter 1 is over already : how was it for you? We're celebrating a great quarter both in the training business and my own coaching / consulting business. We didn't hit our goal... however we were still our highest profit quarter ever which is something to celebrate (we also always have stretch goals). The biggest thing this quarter is that I feel we've got a rhythm with our team and support and I've really gone into my zone of genius. Quarter two is about continuing what w're doing, getting my third book out into the world and working with more organisations: we're speaking to a lot of academy trusts and schools about delivering in house coach training and coaching skills support right now. Personally, it's about consistency with exercise and focusing on my well-being (which I do write every quarter and usually do okay - this time I'm aiming for good!) What are you celebrating and looking forward to?

✨ I've finally started the journey to becoming a fully certified coach This weekend was full of learning, gratitude, energy and emotions as I got to learn the Fundamentals of CoActive Coaching with the wonderful CTI reps Andrew Sheridan CPCC, MCC and Bruce O'Brien CPCC, PCC 📓 Key learning: trust the process. I had to let go of my perfectionist side and try not to construct the perfect coaching session or environment. Instead I learnt how to be authentic and trust my gut - staying in the moment to get the best results. 💖 Gratitude: for the support of my team, especially Avril Somerville to let me kick start this journey officially. ⚡ Energy: I got reinvigorated when I was reminded of my why to choosing this career path in the first place. Though I'm a little fatigued from a full weekend of learning, I am letting that energy help me bring a more motivated self to work. 🫂 Emotion: humans are social creatures. A room full of relative strangers really learnt to break down the walls and trust each other in the span of a few days. It reminded me the importance of connection for all of us. How do you deal with challenging relationships when what’s at stake is really important to you? How we tend to do more of the same things which in fine only contributes to make things worst How unconsciously we create a dynamic which we tend to feel victim in, but that we actually actively fuel And we’ve learnt how to “break” the cycle so we can help our clients regulate the dysfunctions they’re in and change their outcome It’s been fantastic to continue learning about the Palo Alto approach in systemic coaching While practicing with a small, intimate and fun group on real cases Thanks Karine for the safe space, the insights and the laughters, we all had a fantastic day of learning and growing yesterday 🧡 When is the last time that you invested in your skills and practice?

I have been both receiving a delivering this message a lot lately. It has been a good reminder for me. We often overestimate what we can do in a year and underestimate what we can do in 10. Running is a very tangible example for me. It took me 6 years to achieve my goal of completing the Sinister 7 100 mile race. It was consistency in training, in showing up on race day and learning from past failures. Consistency allowed me to build and sell a successful brokerage firm. Consistency has allowed me to create a strong network of men who care about men's well-being. It is consistency that is creating a thriving coaching practice. I don't always feel like showing up, but this reminder keeps me moving forward. If you were to only focus on improving one thing this should be the thing you focus on. What do you do to maintain consistency in the important things in your life?
