I'm excited to share two key learnings from my internship experience. Color theory: Color isn't just about aesthetics; it's a powerful tool to evoke emotions, create hierarchy, and guide users through an interface. Understanding how to apply effective color schemes can enhance user experience in products. The 60-30-10 rule presents a practical framework for creating balanced color schemes, where dominant colors comprise 60% of the design, secondary colors 30%, and accent colors 10%, often used for Call To Action (CTA) elements. I also expanded my knowledge of typography. Typography plays a crucial role in conveying information clearly and establishing visual harmony. Mastering type scales ensures readability, accessibility, and a polished design that's pleasing to the eye. I'm eager to explore and learn more of these and other foundational design principles. #UxDesign #Figma

From a young age, I've always been drawn to the artistic world. In high school, I discovered painting, which sparked my passion for creative expression. Although I was uncertain about my future, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the arts.Taking a leap of faith, I applied for photography without any expectations but with immense excitement. Throughout my photographic journey, I searched for my niche until I stumbled upon Fine Art photography. It became my outlet for self-expression.As I journeyed deeper, I developed a fascination with editing, unlocking a new world of creativity.I learned and explored various techniques, which led me to discover my love for commercial photography. This journey has been full of unexpected twists and surprises. I continue to challenge myself, seeking new knowledge and experiences within the industry.Through internships, I gained valuable insights into the media world, realizing that formal education is just the beginning. There's so much more to explore, and I'm excited to discover what the world has in store for me.

#FASHIONGRADUATES ✨ I’ve been speaking to so many lovely, driven graduates recently 👨🏽🎓👩🏽🎓 & thought I’d do a post! It’s a saturated industry and often hard to get your foot in the🚪… So what can you do to help your chances at securing a new role!? CV STAND OUTS 🎨 ...If you’re a creative, let your cv represent this! If you have no industry experience, you need to stand out in other ways… 💗 I LOVE to see anything extra, so here are a few examples I’ve seen during my time in industry & recruitment: 💠A website link (or QR code) to your blog posts showing your interests, hobbies, recent trends etc. 💠 Mini projects, if you want to work for ADANOLA, why not create a mini project show casing your capabilities & what you could bring to the brand? 💠 Social media handles. An @ to your creative Instagram 📸 showing illustrations, CADS, patterns, styling – whatever it is you’re passionate about! 💠 Be inventive with the design of your cv, aspiring designers, garment techs, instead of your average coloured boarder.. Why not add some CADS around your header as decoration? Show off your illustrator skills 🖊 💠 A typed reference from a previous employer, lecturer, colleague TO MY NETWORK 📢 IF YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF ADVISE OR TIPS FOR OUR 2024 GRADUATES, PLEASE COMMENT BELOW! #fashionjobs #fashiondesign #buyingandmerchandising #textiles

I used to pour myself into my job/career because One, I was a perfectionist (nothing was good enough) and Two, I had neglected my creativity-outlet as a hobby by making it a job - I felt insecure because I was no longer making art/sketching/painting/sculpting/digital painting for fun and R&R. Then I realized I'm creative in so many more ways than just putting pen to paper. Being curative with important things in my life - Customizing my vehicles, thoughtful about my furniture, my wardrobe, even customizing my body are outlets for expressing my creativity. Being Creative is boundless, and to me, it's an execution of having good taste. There are opportunities to be creative everywhere, not just with the disciplines we grew up practicing.
