Tool manufacturers must get really frustrated with Decorators. There’s so much that goes into the development and production of pretty much everything; always looking for an edge over the competitors and relentlessly testing everything. Or production analysis so they can make a quality tool at a competitive price… All of which gets overlooked by the end user. Take the Axus Décor Silk Touch Ultra Paint Brush for instance. It has soft synthetic bristles, which seem to feel their way along the line you’re trying to cut. There is space between the bristles, which means it holds onto more paint and is far quicker to wash out than standard brushes. The bristles are chemically flagged, resulting in less brush marks and a smoother finish. All at the end of an etched handle for grip and aesthetics. How many Decorators look at that brush and consider everything that goes into making it? They’re more likely to come out with something like, “I don’t like Axus, I use xy&z instead”, even without using the brush themselves. Or “yeah Axus are good”, without knowing which Axus brush they’re talking about. Anyway, just a thought for a Friday morning. I used the silk Touch Ultra as an example because I genuinely believe the brush is a masterpiece, but it must be the same across every brand.

I love these brushes, and genuinely do appreciate the thought that’s gone into their design, hats off to Axus Decor for a great product.

Like most paints, once a painter has found something that suits them they tend to stick …until they change formula or start to use cheaper materials. Painters generally don’t like change!!

We’re big fans of the ST Ultra 😍
