Mike Katz’s Post

President of Marketing, Strategy and Products at T-Mobile, leading Marketing, Strategy & Development, Product, Wholesale and Advertising Solutions teams.

Recently, we’ve been talking a lot about our goal to keep our customers connected to their world no matter where they are. But for some people, it’s harder to stay connected when their devices can’t keep up with demanding tasks. That’s why we’re introducing the only 5G RedCap device that’s available nationwide. With T-Mobile’s 5G SA network and in collaboration with TCL and Qualcomm, we’re powering the only 5G RedCap device in North America, bringing Wi-Fi only or 4G LTE devices onto our 5G network.     This is a game-changer for customers who need an affordable entry point into 5G with a more reliable, more secure, and faster experience compared to Wi-Fi and 4G LTE. Why? Because the 5G RedCap can turn almost any USB-C device into a 5G connected device just by plugging it in, without having to upgrade to new devices. Pretty awesome, right? The problem for me is that 5G service where I live from T-Mobile and everyone else is crap. The only plus for T-Mobile is that the rep I spoke to was honest and told me I would unlikely see any improvement if I switched. It amazes me that no carrier can provide decent service here in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

I would like to be ambassador for this device Mike Katz When I travel through the desert, I don't get access. Sometimes meetings can't wait. When I am at a conference in the exhibit hall, WIFI is a hot mess. I would love to be a real customer to match the idea to applicability and reliability, prior to monetarily investing. What to you say?

This is a game-changer! Empowering customers to stay connected, no matter their device, is a huge leap forward in bridging the gap to 5G. The 5G RedCap’s ability to bring older devices onto the 5G network without a costly upgrade makes cutting-edge technology more accessible for everyone. Great innovation! Looking forward to seeing how this will enhance connectivity.

I think it’s impressive that T-Mobile, in collaboration with TCL and Qualcomm, is making it possible for so many users to tap into 5G without replacing their devices. This innovation could truly simplify access to the benefits of 5G for a lot of people.
