As advocates for relational well-being, educating the public about when to seek therapy is so important. At the Institute for Relational Well-being (IRWB), we emphasize early intervention and proactive care for relationships. Key indicators may include: - Persistent relationship conflicts - Difficulty connecting with loved ones - Feelings of isolation or loneliness - Significant life transitions affecting relationships - Maladaptive patterns in interpersonal connections By promoting awareness of these signs, we aim to normalize seeking support for relational issues and prevent the escalation of interpersonal concerns. If you find yourself or someone you know experiencing these challenges, we're here to help. IRWB offers a free 15-minute consultation to discuss how our approach to relational well-being might support you or your loved ones. #RelationalWellbeing #PublicEducation #TherapyAdvocacy

What do you do with the evidence of emotional manipulation that you are able to collect? The first thing is child focused language. This is about your child and what they are experiencing, not what your ex is doing. It's just that shift from being about your ex has done this to your child is experiencing this. I use Evidence Tracker, which is part of our Get Court Ready programme, and this helps you to gather and organise your evidence. Start putting it into different categories around different behaviours. You can then point these inconsistencies out to Cafcass and the court using that framework. Ultimately what you really are going to need is an expert psychologist assessment which you can get under Practice Directive 25.

It has been an exiting time here at Mental Capacity Ltd with many developments happening. This has meant our blogs have dropped slightly in frequency but retain a great repertoire of over 120 available discussing different elements of the Mental Capacity Act in everyday practice. In a recent blog, this September, we consider the concept of Silos and the decision specific nature of Mental Capacity. #mentalcapacity #mca #decisionspecific #silos #decisionmaking #everydaypractice https://lnkd.in/e8rx8Yxn

The Chatham House rule was first created by the organisation in 1927 and has been subject to a number of revisions since, but its purpose remains the same - to facilitate an environment where people can have frank, open and honest discussions about sometimes challenging topics. This week in #psychologicalsafety Jade Garratt dives into what The Chatham House Rule is, where it comes from, and why it's so useful in fostering psychological safety in groups. https://lnkd.in/ewMA5v_V

🔺 ICYMI, in our Edinburgh Napier Centre for Mental Health Practice, Policy and Law Research July newsletter we mentioned all of the international conferences that researchers had been in attendance of this summer. Sam Abdulla kindly wrote about his visit to Chicago with Dr Natasha Spassiani to attend the #IASSIDD 17th World Congress in Chicago. '...When we think of institutions we immediately go to the physical spaces, to four walls, lack of choice, lack of freedoms, of ways of living and being that aren’t authentic to those who are subjected to the institution. However, when we inadvertently or indirectly create environments where diverse voices do not have space, we create an institution of another kind, where we restrain thoughts and ideas.' 🌟 Give the blog a quick read to learn more about some of the key takeaways and a wee bit more about their own research! #learningdisabilityresearch #mentalhealth #deinstitutionalisation #
