Software Delivery Improvement @ RELEX | Speaker

Last week I was in Helsinki for a workshop around the topic “Quality” for a global leader in supply chain planning. Some of the main ideas to improve were - have long-lived customer environments for running tests - improve visibility of user behavior Some of the Problems were - tests don't mimic actual customer behavior - too few integration tests, with datasets that are too small - we want more visibility on what the user was doing before an error occurred The article from the new stack (in the comments) applies to several points that came from the workshop - Traceability, end-to-end correlation between logs (so we can trace a single user’s actions across many different services’s logs) - Having a realistic test environment always up to run tests It even goes one step forward talking about data isolation, and having multiple "sandboxes" (isolated environments inside the same infrastructure: i bet that that may already be possible and or has already been requested by the customer)
