Conducting an experiment with participants viewing content in VR vs. desktop computer, the findings point to VR as being a viable tool for charities. It's been a while since I posted about Game Mastering, but I heard a very interesting thing on a video. Tabletop gaming has been there for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Sand tables for armies to simulate battlefields and to predict the other generals next move; Important decision making solved with a game of chess; work through your trauma's by facing them head on in a safe space. Tabletop gaming is so much more than a passtime, I've seen people go from introverted people who would never say something bad, to being assertive and confident. People who even have found new relationships (myself included) by interacting more with others and gain the confidence to ask someone out. In a professional setting it is much more than just having a laugh. Play some Call of Cthulhu to find out how your team can critical think their way out of a scenario where they have to find clues and work together or everyone will fail. Build confidence in your decision making by feeling good about what you did, but in a save space. In short, tabletop gaming can be so much more and an enrichment to anyone who wants to succeed by trying it in a safe space. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk. @longgameproject

Today I want to talk about the huge hearts of people, namely the developers of cult world games, who were not left aside when the war came to Ukraine. The volume of financial assistance for two years is impressive, these funds were directed to humanitarian support of the population of Ukraine, and especially Ukrainian children. The entire world community cannot stand aside when Russia openly kills and destroys the Ukrainian people. The gaming industry, as well as eSports, has the largest audience of users in the world. And in addition to the idea against the war, there must also be real actions. The companies I mentioned in my post showed what it means to have a big heart and how not to stand aside from a global problem - war. Russia is a country of terrorists and murderers, everyone should understand that. However, unfortunately, in a world where good prevails, I believe it, there are game companies that finance murders by paying taxes in Russia, but the time will come when they will pay in full for the grief they brought to our home. But now I want to say a huge thank you to all game developers who support Ukraine and continue to help financially. Believe me, the Ukrainian game community appreciates your help and kindness. Pop each one to progress to the next level. - Level Two:15 random red balloons, including 3 tricky yellow balloons with irregular movements. Having worked with groups like PBS KIDS and STEMIE to produce accessible gaming, Bridge Multimedia understands how valuable it is to the disability community. When the accessible CyberChase games were made available, free on the PBS KIDS website, they were accessed millions of times within months. I’m excited to share that I’ve joined the board of Bloop Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to preserving the history of electronic entertainment—our shared digital heritage. For the past 15 years, Bloop has captivated audiences as a pop-up museum, with the last 5 years residing within the System Source Computer Museum. Now, we’re ready to level up to a dedicated space where our expanding collection and educational/ technological cultural events can truly shine. Our next step is finding a more permanent home (with several exciting possibilities on the horizon). As technology accelerates, preserving its origins is vital. Bloop Museum is dedicated to safeguarding the vintage games, computers, and gadgets that laid the foundation for today’s innovations. These weren’t just games; they sparked technological revolutions that now touch every aspect of our lives. NVIDIA’s GPUs, for instance, began enhancing virtual worlds for demanding gamers and have since become essential in fields like healthcare, finance, automotive, etc. Beyond technology, early gaming experiences also built communities, fostering a sense of belonging that shaped who many of us are today. For me, those early gaming experiences were the start of my passion for technology. I still remember the first time I wrote a batch file just to use my flight stick and sound card in a game, or the time my friend Steve Wolyniec and I connected a serial cable to hunt each other in submarines in 688 Attack Sub. These weren't just hobbies but the beginning of a journey that led to fulfilling tech careers. I’m sure many of you have similar stories/moments where games and early tech experiences had a lasting impact on your life.  I’d love to hear your story! Last weekend at GameOn was a blast! Myself and Simone Cibrario Nona participated the whole 3 days with our game demo: Sticky Date (at a dumpling place) <if you know - you know>. The exhibition was intense: pink gamer lights were flashing, techno tunes or game soundtracks were blasting, characters from game and animation franchises were walking amongst us and robo cop dogs were pretending to be good boys. It was pure joy to see so many people playing our game and giving us some nice feedback, as well as sharing their own sus dating stories... People were laughing though, which is the important thing - though some were still hoping for the dialogue to turn normal (spoiler alert - it doesn't, no matter what you choose).
