I’m a customer success manager turned recruiter and agency owner. Not a common transition, moving from a "farmer" role to a "hunter." I had no prior recruitment experience. I had never closed deals in a B2B sales role. But what I did have was a decade of experience working on the business side: - Building trusted customer relationships and expanding partnerships - Running PoCs and demonstrating value to customers in aggressive timelines - Managing people and keeping projects moving forward - Witnessing and contributing to both winning and failing sales organizations - Hiring, onboarding, and coaching SaaS teams These experiences no doubt laid the foundation to my path as a recruiter. They taught me how to: - Build deeper relationships with candidates by understanding their aspirations with empathy - Scale relationships with clients through effective advisory and delivery, leading to repeat business - Outlast competing recruiters by delivering value and earning exclusivity with clients - Develop a winning, repeatable process to match the right opportunities to candidates and the right candidates to clients - Objection handle and flip an escalation into a resolution In a crowded cybersecurity recruitment market of many (very talented) agencies, I take a different route that aligns with my customer success background: 1.
