Copilot is a great tool for schools and teachers to generate wonderful resources, promote efficiency, and to enhance student learning. As a leader, I can cut tasks that would have taken me an hour down to 15 minutes, which means that I've got the ability to get away from the computer, to be working with students, to be out visiting classrooms and seeing the learning that's happening here at the school. As a teacher, time is so valuable. With Copilot M365 I have been able to create PowerPoint presentations with images, text and teacher prompts. Whether it be something visual like a PowerPoint, whether it's developing Forms for my students that I couldn't do in the time I've got, or summarising in Word something that would be laboursome for students to do over a period of time. Copilot is great at ideating new concepts to keep students excited and motivated for learning. I've built up such a colossal bank of resources. Copilot has allowed the ability to transfer some of those resources into quizzes, into PowerPoints, into summaries, into digestible content for my students so they can be successful in their learning. When working through my teaching sequence in English, Copilot has enabled me to create resources, writing prompts and materials list to give the students a variety of learning experiences. Copilot for Microsoft Forms has allowed me to save time in creating quizzes, using AI for student feedback and to check on their understanding. It means I can spend more time with them unpacking where they need extra support, or in enhancing topics where they've started to grasp it but haven't gone all the way. That feedback is so important and so powerful as a classroom teacher. Even with emails I have been able to order, summarise and reply really quickly. So when I'm getting to work I usually jump in with emails using Outlook. It helps me reply to parent emails and script what that looks like professionally. Being able to use the M365 Copilot to summarise and prioritise the emails that I need to respond to, including suggesting when it might be a sensitive issue that requires immediate follow up, has been not only time saving but ensures that I am getting to the things that need my immediate attention sooner and with appropriate and detailed responses. Copilot is like a personal assistant to me, helping me get through the tasks that I may not have otherwise got to throughout the day. Copilot continues to find ways to show me how it can enhance what I already do.
