Our Tech & Platform team recently held a hackathon, and it was nothing short of a success. With dozens of brilliant minds working on around 15 different projects across Android, iOS, Web, and Backend, our goal was simple: hack together something cool and game-changing. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We constantly ask ourselves, "how can we be more effective?" and "what can we create that’s truly new to tackle people’s unmet needs?" Hackathons have often been the birthplace of groundbreaking products, while also uniting teams in their shared passion for creativity and problem-solving. The energy was noticeable, with some of our Android team members working late into the night—taking a small break to enjoy the beauty of the northern lights, yet another blessing of being in these latitudes! A huge thank you to everyone involved for making this hackathon a success! We can’t wait to see where these innovations take us next 💙 #CodeToSaveLives #DigitalHealth #Innovation #Hackathon

Hello #connections, As the App Development Lead of our college's tech club, Byte Monk, I have initiated a new program to introduce Android Development to our juniors. This program, titled "24 Hours of App Dev," will consist of 24 one-hour classes, conducted twice a week. The goal of this initiative is to empower our juniors to independently create their own apps. This will enable them to participate effectively in Karmakshetra, the hackathon organized by Byte Monk, as well as other hackathons. Throughout the program, we will work on more than five hands-on projects. Each class will be kept to one hour to ensure the content is easily digestible. Additionally, I will be sharing class summaries here. Attached is the presentation from our first session(Hour 1). I welcome any suggestions or feedback you might have on this program.

What’s new in the Glide community this week? Here’s a little taste… 👉🏻 We quickly reverted a feature change after users spoke up and flagged an issue. (I love working with a team of forum lurkers.) 👉🏻 A bunch of Glide app demos, including in-depth “how I built it” project breakdowns. 👉🏻 New ecosystem partners joined as community members, and they’re already making an impact in contributions. This is the good stuff! 🕊️ #glideapps #nocode #lowcode

Day 8 of building receiptbox.app for RevenueCat's Ship-A-Ton hackathon. 🚀 I finally submitted the app for review on the App Store today! 🎉 On the Android side, I'm still waiting for Play Store to review the build I submitted to Closed Testing track yesterday. Once it gets approved, I'll be able to test the RevenueCat integration and then submit the app for review in Production track. Today, I also completed the onboarding screens and made several fixes and fine-tunings throughout the app. Now, I'm planning to take a break from ReceiptBox until it gets approved on both stores. Once that happens, I'll do some more fine-tuning and make it ready for submission. #buildinpublic

Anxiously competed in my first hackathon at FullyHacks last weekend... And won Best Mobile App? As a Community College student?? This dream is unreal to me. 😰 My team built EcoMaps, a map overlay for Android that educates civilians on water safety from 2,000+ water treatment stations all across #California. After 6 organizer presentations, 1 post-interview, and 1 final judgment, California State University, Fullerton awarded us with Best Mobile App!! 🎉 📢 So here's to my amazing team: Angela Zheng, Manasi Patil, and Dulce Funez. 🔗 GitHub: https://lnkd.in/gxXc26Ht For any beginners going to their first hackathon: ⚡ No team? Make new connections. ⚡ Your ideas aren't stupid. Anything built within 24 hours is a win. ⚡ Prioritize having fun over winning. ⚡ DO NOT sleep on the floor (it hurts) 📸 Huge shoutout to Brian Milian's photography! #softwareengineer #computerscience #hackathon #csuf #android
