Love this piece about one of my favorite topics - using data to make decisions. In this case with AI. Data-informed decision-making: the cornerstone of educational leadership in the AI era. By leveraging diverse data points and AI insights, leaders can craft equitable, effective strategies. Data informs, not dictates. Human judgment remains crucial in shaping educational futures that prioritize student success and institutional growth. #EdTech #LeadershipStrategy #HigherEd #AI

Nick Potkalitsky, PhD and I first met via Substack last Spring. We began chatting informally and quickly realized that we shared many of the same ideas, experiences, and beliefs about the potential role of #AI in #Education. Since then, we've collaborated on several projects, but I am most proud of this one. In late October, we're excited to launch our collaborative e-book, "AI in Education: A Roadmap for Teacher-Led Transformation." This comprehensive guide blends familiar concepts from our work on Substack with fresh insights, offering value to both newcomers and those who've been following our work. Drawing from our experiences over the past year-plus of adaptation and experimentation, we've crafted a resource that bridges the gap between AI novices and seasoned practitioners in the education field. As we navigate this new era of AI in education, let's embrace Hinton's concept of "stoic acceptance" not as passive resignation, but as a mindful approach to change. What aspect of AI in education are you most excited or concerned about? Share your thoughts in the comments below! Your insights will help fuel our upcoming launch webinar and guide future discussions on this critical topic. Don't miss this opportunity to join the conversation shaping the future of education. Mark your calendars for October 30th and be among the first to dive into our comprehensive roadmap for teacher-led AI transformation. #AIinEd #EdTech #TeacherEmpowerment https://lnkd.in/eJ7C2nXg

Excellent insights. If you are a university leader and want to gain a foundational understanding of Generative AI and lead adoption on your campus take this free course offered by Dr. Jules White at Vanderbilt University via Coursera 👉 https://lnkd.in/gsgbu4yq
I highly recommend this article from AACSB. This is a sentiment I am hearing about again and again: "faculty are reluctant to integrate AI into their teaching processes because they receive limited institutional support. If their administrations do not provide resources, training, and encouragement, faculty may feel isolated in their attempts to incorporate AI into their professional practices. This lack of support can stifle innovation and slow the adoption of AI technologies that could otherwise enhance educational quality and efficiency." https://lnkd.in/ewMkC9uS
