Today I said goodbye to my desk and computer for 4 days to take part in a 4-day Trek across the Larapinta Trail in Iconic Alice Springs to raise funds for Melanoma Patients Australia on behalf of my Company Pierre Fabre Group who are the Premier Sponsors of this event.   I grew up singing 'A Great Southland' in school (check it out, it's a beautiful song --> https://lnkd.in/gTVRNi47), and I'm reminded of some of the words now,   "...A land of red dust planes, and summer rains To this sun-burnt land we will see a flood..."   Indeed, for those of us that live here, we are privileged to live in such a uniquely beautiful place. But with the unique beauty comes unique health challenges.   Australia has the highest rates of #Melanoma per capita in the world with an estimated 17,756 people who will be diagnosed this year alone. Thanks to some fantastic breakthroughs in science, new treatments have also resulted an increasing number of Melanoma survivors.   What does this mean? Melanoma Patients Australia needs our support now more than ever.   Please help by donating to my event fundraising page here -->https://lnkd.in/g96EMkEg . All proceeds go towards Melanoma Patients Australia. #Melanoma #Australia #AGreatSouthLand #LarapintaTrek #PierreFabre #PierreFabreAustralia
