Comparison... It can be a real showstopper. And not in a good way. Don’t compare yourself to others. You’re only seeing the bright side that they are choosing to show, especially on social media. Sure, some leaders share their failures and missteps. But not many. The majority of what we see out there is only the good stuff. Admire others. Learn from them. But don’t compare. Ultimately, your leadership style and approach needs to be your own. Own it. #leadership #comparison More here 👇🏼 https://lnkd.in/eNCANV9Y

What Great Leaders Actually DO -The 6E Brendon Burchard shared the 6E of what great leaders actually do we are: 1. Envision: what should tomorrow look like for my team? If there is no vision, there is no leadership. If there is no vision, people will perish. 2. Enlist: list yours and others' dreams to build the vision together 3. Embodying : how do they treat people? What we say and how we behave. Demonstrate and portray what we you believe 4. Empowering: we give people the authority to make decisions and we give them trust. Allow them to succeed. Equipping the team consistently. 5. Evaluate: evaluate the people with us (the contribution, the needs, the ethics) 6. Encourage : always motivating, inspiring, and uplifting people continually. 💡 The term "self-improvement" can be misleading. While it focuses on the self, its influence on those around you can be great. As you develop your skills, habits, and mindset, you inherently become a better leader. In fact, a key component in leadership is recognizing that your personal growth enables you to inspire and empower others. And by committing to become your best self, you set an example for those around you. So, remember – before taking the initiative to lead, you must know how to navigate your own path. In turn, you will cultivate the strength and trust necessary to lead others in good faith. Just finished this excellent book by Jocko Willink. Biggest takeaway for me is the way our ego---the need to be right, to show our smarts---can oftentimes get in the way of effective #leadership. It's a human thing, and I'm not immune. Helpful reminder to ask myself some questions whenever I'm faced with an opportunity to lead. Questions like, is my ego getting in the way of: 🔍 Accepting valuable feedback? 🔍 Moving forward on a plan that's not exactly like mine? 🔍 Listening to a point of view that differs from my own? How do you go to battle with your ego as you #lead?

🔑 Lead Yourself First: The Key to Leading Others Effectively (Part 1) 🔑 Think about it: one of the most important things you can do before guiding or leading others is to master self-leadership. Why? Because self-leadership is the foundation for every great leader. It’s about having the self-awareness, discipline, and clarity to lead yourself before you can effectively lead anyone else. Leadership begins with you. 💡 Self-leadership gives you clarity of vision. When you’re clear on your own values, goals, and purpose, you can provide clear direction to those around you. People follow leaders who know where they are going. 🚀 And to lead with purpose, you need to understand your own purpose first. 🎯 Additionally, emotional resilience is key. Leadership is challenging. There will be moments when the pressure is on, and those are the moments when your emotional resilience will shine. 🌟 If you’ve practiced self-leadership, you’ll stay calm, think clearly, and make better decisions when it counts the most. 🧠💪 Self-leadership builds trust with those around you. When others see that you lead yourself with integrity and self-discipline, they trust you. 🤝 You become someone they can rely on. And in leadership, trust is the foundation for everything. What’s one area of your life where self-leadership has helped you become a better leader for others? I’d love to hear your experiences! 💬👇 #Leadership #SelfLeadership #Clarity #EmotionalResilience #Trust #PersonalGrowth #LeadByExample #LeadershipDevelopment #GrowLikeACompany
