Are brands chasing "fast loyalty" at the expense of genuine customer relationships? Marketers often mistake short-term gains for long-term success by conflating preference with loyalty. Preference is driven by value and availability, while loyalty is built on trust and authenticity. Consider these two approaches: Business One: Aligns with core values, listens to feedback, and offers unique rewards, fostering genuine loyalty. Business Two: Uses short-term incentives like discounts, boosting sales but failing to create lasting loyalty. Studies show that long-term customer relationships are more profitable than fleeting transactions. Raising retention rates by just 5% can boost profits by over 25%. Join the conversation on building genuine customer loyalty. What are your thoughts? #Marketing #CustomerLoyalty #BrandStrategy http://dlvr.it/T8PjgP

In order to truly engage with customers, brands need to build trust. What are brands doing to build that trust? But do they engage or entrap? What's the difference? Customer engagement is "...the process of interacting with customers through a variety of channels and strengthening your relationship with them. For many businesses, this process begins with the first interaction and extends beyond the point of purchase. Companies can engage with customers via social media, email, websites, community forums, or any other space where they’re communicating or consuming content.” On the other hand, customer entrapment is “the action of luring or enticing an individual to do something; to catch, as if in a trap.” Which sounds more enticing? Which sounds more trustworthy? As Abraham Maslow once said: "Any enterprise which wishes to endure over a long period of time and to remain in a healthy and growing state would certainly want a non-manipulative, trusting relationship with its customers rather than the relationship of the quick fleecing, never to see them again." #marketing #customerexperience Link in first comment...
