Was just listening to this silent disco talk from Magna International about the future of automation. An interesting takeaway for me was the idea of reallocating fixed equipment to increase throughput of a factory when there’s a high mix of types of parts. A single robot cell could be reprogrammed on the fly to handle many different manufacturing situations when it traditionally would be sitting idle intended for a single operation. #realizelive #automation #industry40

HSLC is based on a 𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 which brings several advantages in #robot laser applications: • HSLC uses command positions, instead of actual positions, and so it's not subject to noise and is deterministic/repeatable • Command position is always ahead of actual position.
