Hi. I'm Metha Vasquez. I help HR advance their career and run a more effective job search. One of the most meaningful parts of my job is listening to people and when they describe things that are meaningful to them. A few weeks ago a colleague was talking to me about a time management concept used at their organization. They called it "NOT" time. That's in "NOT" time, NOT time. That stands for "No Internet or Teams." The concept is used when a person needs high concentration or privacy to get a task done. It means no interruptions of any kind, no meetings, no calls, no chats, no text, no phone. It's kind of like putting your out of office on when you're in the office. It's a very high level of do not disturb. NOT time. The organization recognizes and values that some work needs to get done with high periods of concentration.
