Light vehicles never have a chance! This is why we need to eliminate them wherever possible. Note: no one was in the light vehicle and it was filmed for demonstration purposes.

Vehicle interactions are one of the highest risks on any site. Yet many take 'traffic' for granted, thinking most of us drive cars everyday and it's just something we don't have to worry about. Sometimes (given everything required of our leaders) even they do not give traffic the respect it deserves or perhaps themselves don't understand or appreciate the real dangers.... And it's up to EVERY SINGLE PERSON to be aware of traffic risks, make good decisions, show good behaviours and drive positive culture.

Eliminate them? Why is racing to the lowest common denominator the answer? Rules and procedures are in place for a reason in all human societies. On average, they work, particularly when adhered to. Why not give the human operators the credit of understanding and applying these rules? Assuming they won’t means stripping individual capability from the workforce and treating them as unintelligent. Where has that worked before? We work with people, not robots. Oh… I see where this is going… 🤨

Well it looks like you eliminated that one

Absolutely eliminate interaction wherever possible, still too many bad outcomes when they do interact

Good discipline and process around SME and LV park up is important, while employing defensive driving techniques is essential should elimination not be possible. Great visual to demonstrate the severity of the impact.
